        This study examined the eating habits and preferences of foods according to the age of children with autism spectrum disorders and identified the nutritional needs of parents to support their healthy eating habits and provide basic data for the development of educational programs. A survey of 100 parents of children with autism spectrum disorders was conducted on their children’s snack intake, food preferences, and parents’ nutrition education needs. As a result, there were four times more boys than girls, and the body mass index differed according to age (p<0.001). Most children ate snacks more than once a day, and parents found that they wanted to develop nutritious snacks that could replace high-protein, low-calorie meals with the minimal use of additives. For the food preference, there was a significant difference in grains and starches, vegetables/seafood and fruits, milk and dairy products (p<0.05), fats and sugars, and Korean fermented pastes (p<0.01) between the two age groups. Regarding whether nutrition education was required, many parents had a high demand for nutrition education (4.24±0.70), and the intention to participate was 3.62±1.09. The most important content to be dealt with in parent education was ‘Inducing a change in bad eating habits and behaviors’, which was the highest (63%), and mostly face-to-face education was preferred. In conclusion, young children require diet education, and older children need to focus on weight control and obesity.

        본 연구는 감마스펙트럼 비율을 이용한 매립된 선원의 깊이 평가방법 개발 및 적용성 확인을 위해 진행되었다. 이를 위해 현장측정 HPGe 계측기 및 MCNP 전산모사를 이용하여 137Cs, 60Co, 152Eu 선원의 매질 내 깊이와 계측거리에 따른 Peak to Compton, Peak to Valley 비율(Q)의 변화를 평가하였다. 해당 결과를 이용해 계측거리 50 cm를 기준으로 PTV 및 PTC 비율(Q)과 매립 선원의 깊이 간의 상관 식을 도출하였다. 그리고 PTC 및 PTV 방법 이용 시 계측거리 변화에 따른 민감도를 평가한 결과, 50 cm 기준으로 계측거리가 20 cm로 감소할 경우 오차가 3 ~ 4 cm까지 증가하였다. 하지만 100 cm로 증가할 경우 계측거리에 의한 영향이 미미함을 확인하였다. 그리고 PTV 및 PTC 방법과 피크 영역의 계수율 변화를 통해 선원의 깊이를 평가하는 Two distance measurement 방법을 상호 비교하였다. 평가 결과 PTV 및 PTC 방법은 최대 1.87 cm의 오차, Two distance measurement 방법은 최대 2.69 cm의 오차를 나타내어 PTV, PTC 방법의 정확도가 비교적 높음을 확인하였다. 선원의 수평 방향 위치 변화 민감도 평가 결과 Two distance measurement 방법은 선원이 off-center 방향으로 30 cm 이동하였을 경우 최대 오차가 25.59 cm로 나타났다. 반면 PTV 및 PTC 방법은 최대 오차 8.04 cm로 현장 적용 시 높은 정확도를 나타낼 것으로 예상된다. 그리고 PTC 방법은 동일 시간 측정 시 다른 방법과 비교하여 낮은 표준편차를 나타내 신속한 평가가 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

        Seismic qualification of instruments and devices mounted on electrical cabinets in a nuclear power plant is performed in this study by means of the in-cabinet response spectrum (ICRS). A simple method and two rigorous methods are proposed in the EPRI NP-7146-SL guidelines for generating the ICRS. The simple method of EPRI can give unrealistic spectra that are excessively conservative in many cases. In the past, the time domain analysis (TDA) methods have been mostly used to analyze a structure. However, the TDA requires the generation of an artificial earthquake input motion compatible to the target response spectrum. The process of generating an artificial earthquake may involve a great deal of uncertainty. In addition, many time history analyses should be performed to increase the accuracy of the results. This study developed a numerical analysis program for generating the ICRS by frequency domain analysis (FDA) method. The developed program was validated by the numerical study. The ICRS calculated by FDA thoroughly matched with those obtained from TDA. This study then confirms that the method it proposes can simply and efficiently generate the ICRS compared to the time domain method.

        Electrical instruments and devices contained in cabinets for controlling nuclear power plants require seismic qualification; likewise, in-cabinet response spectrum (ICRS) is necessary. Gupta et al. (1999) suggested the Ritz method, where rocking, frame bending, and plate bending behaviors of cabinets are considered, as a method for determining ICRS. This research proposes a method to determine the rocking stiffness of cabinets, which represents its rocking behavior. The cabinet is fixed on mounting frames and is connected to the base concrete by anchors. When horizontal excitation is applied to the cabinet, the mounting frames at anchors are locally deformed, the mounting frames are bent, and then rocking in the cabinet becomes evident. A method to determine equivalent vertical spring stiffness representing the local deformation of the mounting frames at anchors is then proposed. Subsequently, the rocking stiffness of this mounting frame is calculated upon assumption of the mounting frame as an indeterminate beam.

        In 2016, an earthquake occurred at Gyeongju, Korea. At the Wolsong site, the observed peak ground acceleration was lower than the operating basis earthquake (OBE) level of Wolsong nuclear power plant. However, the measured spectral acceleration value exceeded the spectral acceleration of the operating-basis earthquake (OBE) level in some sections of the response spectrum, resulting in a manual shutdown of the nuclear power plant. Analysis of the response spectra shape of the Gyeongju earthquake motion showed that the high-frequency components are stronger than the response spectra shape used in nuclear power plant design. Therefore, the seismic performance evaluation of structures and equipment of nuclear power plants should be made to reflect the characteristics of site-specific earthquakes. In general, the floor response spectrum shape at the installation site or the generalized response spectrum shape is used for the seismic performance evaluation of structures and equipment. In this study, a generalized response spectrum shape is proposed for seismic performance evaluation of structures and equipment for nuclear power plants. The proposed response spectrum shape reflects the characteristics of earthquake motion in Korea through earthquake hazard analysis, and it can be applied to structures and equipment at various locations.

        In this study, the reliability of the analysis is evaluated by comparing the average wind pressure coefficient, RMS wind pressure coefficient and wind pressure spectrum with same condition of wind tunnel test which are calculated in the high-Reynolds number range of 1.2 ×1.06, 2.0.×106 each for the typical curved shape dome structure. And it is examined by the reliability of analysis through Improved delayed detached Eddy Simulation(IDDES), which is one of the hybrid RANS/LES techniques that can analyze the realistic calculation range of high Reynolds number. As a result of the study, it was found that IDDES can be predicted very similar to the wind tunnel test. The distribution pattern of the wind pressure coefficient and wind pressure spectrum showed a similar compared with wind tunnel test.

        선박 및 수중구조물의 고속, 대형화 및 요구조건 강화의 추세에 따라 유동소음 예측기술의 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 항공, 철도 등의 공력소음 분야에서는 음향상사법을 이용하여 순음 및 광대역 유동소음에 대해 활발히 연구되고 있는 반면 조선해양분야에서는 수중추진기의 날개주파수소음에 대해서만 일부 고려되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 날개면 형상의 주요 유동소음발생 메커니즘 뒷날소음을 고려 가능한 FW-H Formulation 1B를 이용하여 수중추진기 및 선저부가물의 기초요소인 수중익에 대해 광대역소음 예측기법을 연구하였다. 기존의 FW-H Formulation 1B는 공기 중의 압력상관관계 모델에 기반하여 구성되어 있어 매질에 대한 일반성 및 정확도의 한계를 가지므로 수중환경에 대해 일반성을 가지는 벽면변동압력 모델로 확장하는 방법론을 제시하였다. 공기 중 날개면의 소음계측결과와 비교해 벽면변 동압력 모델을 이용할 경우 기존모델의 해석결과 대비 5 dB 이내의 오차로 정확도 관점에서의 유용성을 확인할 수 있었으며 전산유체역 학과 벽면변동압력을 이용한 수중환경의 광대역소음해석 절차를 확립하고 수중익의 광대역소음 예측을 수행하였다.

        Safety-related cabinets and their electrical parts, such as relays and switches in nuclear power plants, should maintain continuous functioning, as well as structural safety according to the nuclear regulatory guidelines. Generally, an electrical part is qualified if its functioning is maintained without abnormality during excitement by motion compatible with the test response spectrum, which is larger than its in-cabinet response spectrum (ICRS). ICRS can be determined by shake-table test or dynamic analysis. Since existing cabinets in use can hardly be stopped and moved, dynamic analysis is preferred over shake-table test in determining ICRS. The simple method, suggested by the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) to determine ICRS, yields conservative or non-conservative results from time to time. In order to determine that the ICRS is better than EPRI method in a simple way, Ritz method considering global and local plate behaviors was suggested by Gupta et al. In this paper, the Ritz method is modified in order to consider the rocking and frame behaviors simultaneously, and it is applied to a simple numerical example for verification. ICRS is determined by Ritz method and compared with the results by finite element method (FEM). Based on this numerical example, recommendations for using Ritz method are suggested.

        In this study, a design procedure for the practical application of the dampers to building structures under earthquake loads was presented by using earthquake response spectrum. Nonlinear time history results using a 10 story building structure installed with damper verified the effectiveness of the proposed procedure by showing that the structural response could be reduced to the target performance level for seismic loads. Since the proposed design procedures are based on response spectrum seismic analysis result of the original structure, the capacity, location and the number of damper and the consequent response reduction effects can be preliminarily determined without performing the nonlinear time history analysis.

        In order to increase the seismic safety of nuclear power plant (NPP) structures, a technique to reduce the seismic load transmitted to the NPP structure by using a seismic isolation device such as a lead-rubber bearing has recently been actively researched. In seismic design of NPP structures, three directional (two horizontal and one vertical directions) artificial synthetic earthquakes (G0 group) corresponding to the standard design spectrum are generally used. In this study, seismic analysis was performed by using three directional artificial synthetic earthquakes (M0 group) corresponding to the maximum-minimum spectrum reflecting uncertainty of incident direction of earthquake load. The design basis earthquake (DBE) and the beyond design basis earthquakes (BDBEs are equal to 150%, 167%, and 200% DBE) of G0 and M0 earthquake groups were respectively generated for 30 sets and used for the seismic analysis. The purpose of this study is to compare seismic responses and seismic fragility curves of seismically isolated NPP structures subjected to DBE and BDBE. From the seismic fragility curves, the probability of failure of the seismic isolation system when the peak ground acceleration (PGA) is 0.5 g is about 5% for the M0 earthquake group and about 3% for the G0 earthquake group.

        자폐 스펙트럼 장애를 가진 대상(이하 ASD)의 정서 인식 능력에 대한 행동 연구의 결과는 혼재되어 있고, 대부분 단일 감각 양식의 정서 인식 능력에 대한 검증에 치중되어 있다. 따라서 ASD가 실제로 정서 인식 결함을 가지고 있는지에 대한 통합적 이해는 아직 이루어지지 않은 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 다중 감각 양식 정서 자극에 대한 따른 ASD 환자의 정서 인식 능력에 초점을 맞추고, ASD의 정서 인식 능력에 대한 혼재된 결과를 설명하기 위하여 최신 행동 연구와 인지신경과학 연구들을 개관하였다. 그 결과, 정서 인식 과제에서 행동적 결함을 보이지 않았던 ASD 일지라도, 뇌 영상 결과에서는 정서 정보 통합 기능에서 결함이 발견되었다. 따라서 본 개관 연구에서는, 최근에 제안된 ASD의 다중 감각 양식에 따른 정서 인식 능력의 결함, ASD의 정서 정보 통합 기능 결함, 그리고 실생활에서 정서 인식의 어려움에 대한 가능성과 선행 연구들의 제한점에 대해 논의하였다. 또한, ASD가 정서 정보를 통합하는 과정에서 활용하는 보상 기제를 살펴보고, ASD의 정서 기능 결함과 관련된 치료적 접근 방향과 후속 연구에 대해 제언하였다.

        The site coefficients in the common requirements for seismic design codes, which were promulgated in 2017, were reevaluated and the standard design spectrum for soil sites were newly proposed in order to ensure the consistency of the standard design spectra for rock and soil sites specified in the common requirements. Using the 55 ground motions from domestic and overseas intraplate earthquakes, which were used to derive the standard design spectrum for rock sites, as rock outcropping motions, site response analyses of Korean soil were performed and its ground-motion-amplification was characterized. Then, the site coefficients for soil sites were reevaluated. Compared with the existing site coefficients, the newly proposed short-period site coefficient Fa increased and the long-period site coefficient Fv decreased overall. A new standard design spectrum for soil sites was proposed using the reevaluated site coefficients. When compared with the existing design spectrum, it could be seen that the proposed site coefficients and the standard design spectrum for soil sites were reasonably derived. They reflected the short-period characteristics of earthquake and soil in Korea.

        Long-lived Small Modular Reactors are being promoted as an innovative way of catering to emerging markets and isolated regions. They can be operated continuously for decades without requiring additional fuel. A novel configuration of long-lived reactor core employs a mixed neutron spectrum, providing an improvement in nonproliferation metrics and in safety characteristics. Starting with a base sodium reactor design, moderating material is inserted in outer core assemblies to modify the fast spectrum. The assemblies are shuffled once during core lifetime to ensure that every fuel rod is exposed to the thermalized spectrum. The Mixed Spectrum Reactor is able to maintain a core lifetime over two decades while ensuring the plutonium it breeds is below the weapon-grade limit at the fuel discharge. The main drawbacks of the design are higher front-end fuel cycle costs and a 58% increase in core volume, although it is alleviated to some extent by a 48% higher power output.

        As a method of seismic-design for pile-supported wharves, equivalent static analysis, response spectrum analysis, and time history analysis method are applied. Among them, the response spectrum analysis is widely used to obtain the maximum response of a structure. Because the ground is not modeled in the response spectrum analysis of pile-supported wharves, the amplified input ground acceleration should be calculated by ground classification or seismic response analysis. However, it is difficult to calculate the input ground acceleration through ground classification because the pile-supported wharf is build on inclined ground, the methods to calculate the input ground acceleration proposed in the standards are different. Therefore, in this study, the dynamic centrifuge model tests and the response spectrum analysis were carried out to calculate the appropriate input ground acceleration. The pile moment in response spectrum analysis and the dynamic centrifuge model tests were compared. As a result of comparison, it was shown that the response spectrum analysis results using the amplified acceleration in the ground surface were appropriate.

        As a rule, geological disposal is considered a safe method for final disposal of high-level radioactive waste. However, some long-lived fission products like 99Tc and 129I contained in spent nuclear fuel are highly mobile as less sorbing anionic species in the subsurface environment and can mainly cause exposure dose to the ecosystem by emission of beta rays in the hundreds of keV range. Therefore, if these two nuclides can be separated and converted with high efficiency into radioactively unharmful nuclides, this would have a positive effect on disposal safety. One candidate method is to transmute these two nuclides in nuclear reactors into short-lived nuclides or into stable nuclides. For this purpose, it is necessary to evaluate which reactor type is more efficient in burning these two nuclides. In this study, the simulation results of nuclear transmutation of 99Tc and 129I in light water reactor (PWR), heavy water reactor (CANDU) and fast neutron reactor (SFR, MET-1000) are compared and discussed.
