한국산 강도래목의 연구는 1921년에 시작되어 1980년대 이후부터 최근 20년간 연구가 가장 활발하였고.과별로 종수는 Nemouridae가 가장 많고, 다음이 Chloroperlidae였다. 한편 북한산 강도래목의 연구는 1938년에 시작되었고, 외국인에 의해 1970년대에 많은 진전이 있었고, 그 이후 적은 수의 종들이 추가적으로 보고되고 있으며, 과별 종수를 보았을 때 Perlidae가 가장 많고, 다음이 Nemouridae였다. 한국산 강도래목은
