급격한 고령화 사회로의 진입과 노년층들의 욕구 향상으로 인해 단순히 생활의 유지를 위해서가 아니라 삶의 질에 대한 주생활의 욕구가 점점 높아지면서 저소득층을 위한 노인보호시설이라는 좁은 의미의 개념에서 탈피하여 유료노인 복지 시설 및 노인 주택에 관한 관심이 고조되고 있는 실정이다. 이에 따라, 노인이 주 사용자 그룹이 되고 있는환경이 노년기의 신체적, 심리적 변화를 고려하여 기능적이고 정서적으로 쾌적한 생활공간으로 제공 될 수 있는 장으로서역할을 할 수 있도록 노인 시설의 색채계획이 이루어져야 할 것이다.이에 본 연구는 이러한 이론적 내용을 바탕으로 우리나라에서 운영되어지고 있는 유료 노인복지 주택인 실버타운3개소를 대상으로 하여 현재 실내 공간에 사용되어지고 있는 색채의 현황을 조사·분석하고 특성을 파악하였다. 이러한과정을 통해 도출된 결과가 노년층을 대상으로 한 실내공간의 색채 활용에 대한 기초적 자료를 제공함에 이 연구의목적을 두고 있다. 연구 결과 공용공간의 경우 Yellow Red(8), Yellow(5) 계열의 Light Grayish, Light, Dull톤에 해당하는 색상이 높은 분포도를 보이고 있었다. 현황조사 결과 노인선호시설의 경우 그들의 안정성 확보 및 정서적 만족을 줄수 있는 색채 사용률은 낮은 것을 알 수 있었다.
The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of the current color design in public interior spaces, which centers on three typical Silver-towns in Korea. With the increase of the aging population, people acknowledged the importance of needs of the elderly. To meet their needs, people should not only support their material life, but also improve the quality of their life. Nowadays our society pays attention to nursing home and silver-town. Thus, the living environment for elderly, such as color scheme, can make the effects of physical and mental health. The results of this survey effectively instruct the color design of the interior environment for elderly, which is the research foundation. As a result, that showing the distribution of the colors high about Yellow Red (8), Yellow (5) in the series Light Grayish, Light, Dull tones. It means the elderly preferred amenities could be lower that to satisfy their emotional stability and color that can see that the utilization could be lower.
