오리엔탈 백합의 생육 특성조사를 통해 백합 육종효 율을 증진시키기 위해 본 연구를 실시하였다. 23 품종 중 상향 개화성 품종이 13품종으로 나타났으며, 반점 이 없는 품종은 9품종으로 조사되었다. ‘Caruso’는 초 장이 36.7 cm로 가장 짧아 분화용 품종육성에 적합할 것으로 판단되고, ‘Medusa’는 100 cm로 가장 길어 절화용 품종 육성에 유리할 것으로 판단된다. 개화소요 일은 ‘Viviana Zantriana’가 79일로 가장 짧았으며, ‘Sorbonne’이 115일로 가장 길었다. 임성율은 대부분 70% 이상으로 높았으나 ‘Red Reflex’는 2%로 가장 낮았다. 발아율은 ‘Eton’이 70%로 가장 높았고 ‘Red Reflex’ 외 6품종이 20% 미만으로 나타났다. 발아율이 낮은 품종은 부본보다는 모본으로 사용하는 것이 육종에 효율적일 것으로 판단된다.
The study was conducted to promote lily breeding system through the survey of growth characteristics of Lilium Oriental hybrids. For the morphological characteristics, 13 cultivars were observed to have up-facing flower and 9 cultivars were evaluated to have no-spots on the petals. For the plant height, the shortest among all cultivars evaluated is “Caruso” with an average height of 36.7 cm. The cultivars with this height can be considered or can be used as a potted plant. The tallest cultivar reaches up to 100 cm and can be used as a cut plants. For days to flowering, cultivar ‘Viviana Zantriana’ developed flowers as early as 79 days after planting while the late maturing cultivar was ‘Sorbonne’, which produced flowers 115 days after planting. While most of cultivars have higher viability of about 70% but ‘Red Reflex’ had the lowest germination rate of about 2%; cultivar ‘Eton’ showed the highest germination percentage (70%), ‘Red Reflex’ and 6 other cultivars had less than 20% germination rate. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that lower germination cultivars would be used as a female parent rather than male parent for efficient breeding process.
