본 연구는 프리지아 구근수확 시기를 달리하였을 때 2단구가 형성되지 않으면서 구근을 장기간 보관할 수 있는 온도 및 기간 등 저장방법을 찾고자 실시하였다. 프리지아 구근 수확시기는 절화 직후와 절화 후 45일 2처리로 실시하였다. 구근 저장온도는 5, 10, 15, 20, 30οC, 저장기간은 20, 40, 60, 80, 100일 등 각각 5 처리를 두었다. 2단구는 구근의 생장점 부위에 싹이 맹아하지 않고 작은 자구가 발생하는 형태적인 변화를 말하는 것으로 저장 중 온도가 맞지 않을 경우 나타 난다. 시험결과를 보면 절화 후 바로 구근을 수확 할 경우 이본느 품종은 30οC로 80일 이상, 샤이니골드는 20οC에서 100일 이상, 30οC는 60일 이상 정식 전에 저장하면 정식 이후 2단구가 회피되었다. 절화 45일 후에 구근을 수확 할 경우에는 이본느와 샤이니골드 두 품종 모두 정식 전에 20οC에서 100일 이상, 30οC 는 40일 이상 보관하면 정식 이후 2단구 발생이 억제 되었다. 절화 직후 구근을 수확한 처리에서 구근을 30οC로 100일 저장 후 정식한 결과 샤이니골드와 이 본느 품종의 맹아소요일수는 각각 34일과 31일로 나 타나 한달 이상소요 되었지만, 절화 45일 후에 수확한 구근은 같은 처리에서 두 품종 모두 맹아소요일수가 7 일로 나타나 절화 45일 후에 수확한 구근의 휴면이 빨리 타파되는 것으로 밝혀졌다.
Freesia corms were harvested immediately after cut-flower and 45 days after cut-flower. And harvested freesia corms were stored for 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 days at 5, 10, 15, 20 and 30οC, respectively. Pupation, a morphological process of formation of small corms on the old one not sprouting after planting, occurred when the corms stored at wrong temperature. In the corms were harvested immediately after cutflower it is possible to avoid pupation, ‘Yvonne’ is stored for over 80 days at 30οC and ‘Shiny Gold’ is stored over 100 days at 20οC or more than 60 days at 30οC. The corms were harvested at 45 days after cutflower stored for more than 100 days at 20οC or for more than 40 days at 30οC showed no pupa formation in both species. In the corms harvested at immediately after cut-flower, the number of days to sprouting after planting of ‘Shiny Gold’ and ‘Yvonne’ was 34 and 31 days respectively, when used. On the other hand, the corms harvested 45 days after cut-flower were took only 7 days to spouting. In conclusion, we observed that the dormancy of the corms harvested at 45 days after cut flower was readily broken down through this experiment.
