팔레놉시스 ‘Dimple Pink’는 국립원예특작과학원에 서 2010년도에 육성한 신품종이다. 이 품종은 2000년에 진분홍색 계열의 중형종 P. ‘S98PN03’을 자가수분 하여 양성된 계통 중에서 선발되었다. 2005~2009년에 2회의 특성검정과 계통 평가회를 거쳐 ‘Dimple Pink’ 라 명명하였다. ‘Dimple Pink’는 꽃잎과 꽃받침이 분홍 색계로 자줏빛이 도는 진분홍색(PVN80B) 화색이다. 식 물체의 크기는 엽장이 19.2 cm 꽃의 크기가 6.9 cm(화 폭)인 중형품종이다. 엽형은 반직립성의 잎자세를 가지 고 있으며 생육이 강건하고 빠르며 기내증식이 매우 쉬운 품종이다.

Phalaenopsis (P.) ‘Dimple Pink’ was developed by the National Institute of Horticultural & Herbal Science (NIHHS), Rural Development Administration (RDA) in 2010. This hybrid came from the progenies self-crossed P. ‘S98PN03’ which has dark pink colored petals and medium plant size in 2000. ‘Dimple Pink’ was finally selected in 2009 after the investigation of the growth and flower characteristics from 2005 to 2009. ‘Dimple Pink’ had a dark pink (PVN80B) colored petal and sepal with a red lip (PVN80A). The average leaf length and flower width of ‘Dimple pink’ were 19.2 cm and 6.9 cm, respectively. It has a half erect leaf form and a fast vigorous growing cultivar. Further, this hybrid is relatively easy to make clones.
