본 연구는 스타티스 ‘Ocean Blue’와 ‘Fantasia’의 하계 및 동계재배에서 저온 및 GA3 처리가 스타티스의 개화와 절화수량에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 7주간 육 묘한 스타티스를 하계 및 동계재배에서 4주간 저온처리 (3oC), 400mg·L−1 GA3 처리, 그리고 2주일간의 저온처리 와 200mg·L−1 GA3의 혼합처리는 동계재배에만 적용하 였다. 하계재배에서는 ‘Ocean Blue’와 ‘Fantasia’ 모두 저 온처리에 의해 각각 16%, 53%의 절화수량이 증가하 였고, 특히 ‘Ocean Blue’는 대조구와 비교했을 때 추 대와 개화가 촉진되었다. 동계재배에서도 두 품종 모두 저온처리에서 무처리에 비해 생육량이 많았고, ‘Fantasia’ 의 분지수와 엽수는 월등히 많았다. ‘Fantasia’의 저온 처리에서 절화수확량이 대조구에 비해 약 35%가 증가 하였고, 추대와 개화가 각각 20일과 10일정도 촉진되 었다. 저온과 GA3 혼용처리 시 추대는 품종들 사이에 큰 차이가 없없지만, ‘Fantasia’에서 개화가 촉진되고, 대조구와 비교했을 때 좋은 품질의 절화를 생산하였다.
This study was carried out to investigate effect of low temperature and GA3 treatment on flowering and cut flower yield of Limonium spp. ‘Ocean Blue’ and ‘Fantasia’ in summer and winter cultivations. Plants were kept at 3oC for 4 weeks, and were treated with a foliar spray of 400 mg·L−1 GA3 at seven weeks after transplanting in both seasons. The effect of low temperature 3oC for two weeks GA3 application was tested only in winter. In summer cultivation, ‘Ocean Blue’ and ‘Fantasia’ of cut flower production by low temperature treatment were increased about 16% and 53%, respectively, while bolting and flowering advanced significantly in ‘Ocean Blue’ as compared to those in the control. In winter cultivation, growth and development increased, especially, in ‘Fantasia’. With low temperature treatment to ‘Fantasia’ for 4 weeks, cut flower production was increased about 35%. In addition, bolting and flowering were hastened by about 20 and 10 days, respectively. Combined treatment of low temperature and GA3 advanced bolting and flowering with little difference among the cultivars, while, in ‘Fantasia’ it shortened days to flowering and produced more and best quality flowers as compared to the other treatments and the control.
