본 연구는 코칭의 학문적 동향과 국내외 대학의 코칭전공 교육과정을 비교분석하고, 표준교육과정을 개발함으로서 대학에서의 코칭전공 개설에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 문헌연구와 국내외 대학, 학회, 협회 등의 사이트 검색을 통한 코칭전공 교육과정을 수집하였고, 코칭전공 및 교과목에 관한 개설현황을 비교분석하였으며, 분석자료를 토대로 코칭전공 표준교육과정(안)을 개발하였다. 연구결과를 살펴보면, 첫째, 교육계와 학계에서 보이고 있는 코칭의 학문적 동향을 전반적으로 분석한 결과, 대학 학부 과정에서 코칭이 학과목으 로 선정되어 코치를 양성하고 있고, 평생교육으로 코칭 강의가 이뤄지고 있으며, 최근에는 대 학원에 코칭전공이 점차 늘어나고 있다. 뿐만 아니라 석박사논문과 학술지 논문발표가 2005년 이후에 급격히 증가하고 있고, 한국코칭학회, 한국코치협회 등과 같은 협회 및 학회의 창설로 코칭학의 체계적 정립을 위한 다각적인 시도가 이뤄지고 있다. 둘째, 국내외 대학의 코칭전공 및 교육과정을 비교분석한 결과, 외국대학의 경우, 미국, 영국, 호주, 캐나다 등 여러 국가에서 다양한 형태로 코칭전공이 대학에 개설되어 있으며, 학부생들을 대상으로 코칭교육이 활발하 게 이뤄지고 있는 대학들도 다수로 나타났다. 국내대학은 교과목으로 운영되고 있거나 코칭전 공이 석사과정에 도입되고 있는 대학들이 점차 늘어나고 있다. 셋째, 코칭전공 표준교육과정 (안)은 기초과정, 심화과정, 실습과정, 논문작성과 제출을 통해 코칭전공 학위를 취득할 수 있도록 개발하였다.

This study compared coaching educational curriculum that are provided in Korea and in other foreign universities and also, attempted to develop standard educational curriculum in order to provide foundational data for constructing coaching major in universities. For this, research on past studies and web search on universities, associations, and cooperations were done to collect coaching educational programs for major. Through this collection of programs, current status of coaching majors and curriculums were compared and based on those analyzed data, standard educational curriculums were invented. The results of the study are following. First, scholarly trends of coaching shows that coaching classes are offered to train professional coaches in undergraduate level and in extension schools and recently, coaching majors are opening up in graduate schools. Also, the dissertations of that were published since 2005 are quickly increasing in amount and associations such as Korea Coaching Association and Korea Coach Association were founded to expand coaching foundations in various perspectives. Second, analyzed data of comparison shows that foreign universities such as ones in United States, England, Aun shlia, and Canada already had coaching majors that are provided in various forms and many universities that are offering undergraduate level courses on coaching. Korean universities are also introducing coaching majors in graduate schools and ss i are already offering courses on coaching. Third, the standard educational curriculum on coaching was invented. The curriculum for majoring in coaching is composed of foundational course, advanced courses, field place int, and lastly, proposing thesis and submission.
