본 연구에서는 기존 연구에서 자주 다루지 못한 대학에 재학중인 지적장애 재활전공 학생그룹을 대상으로 한 것에 의미가 있으며 원예재활 프로그램을 도입하기 위해 대상자의 만족 성향이 원예재활 관련 전문 직업 프로그램의 참여의지와 직업 관심도에 미치는 영향을 분석함으로 향후 직업재활로서 원예재활이 융복합적 프로그램으로 활용되는 데 기초자료를 구축한 것에 또 하나의 의미를 둘 수 있다. 또한 원예재활사와 원에재활 보조사로 활동할 수 있는 지적장애 학생그룹과 원예 관련 대학생 그룹간의 차이도 비교분석 하였다. 이것은 일반 프로그램과 장애학생을 대상으로 하는 재활보조 프로그램의 단계별 차별화가 필요한가에 대한 의문을 가지고 비교 분석한 것으로 식물심기 프로그램을 제외하고는 대부분 두 그룹간의 유의성이 나타남으로 프로그램은 지적장애 그룹과 일반학생을 나누어 난이도를 차별화한 프로그램으로 개발해야 함을 파악 할 수 있었다. 또 지적장애이면서 대학에 진학한 본 연구대상자 그룹은 심리적인 특성과 지적 성취 정도가 일반 장애그룹과는 달리 원예를 비롯한 각종 사무직과 사서직, 돌봄 등의 직업에 관심을 다양하게 나타내고 있으나 개인별로 선호와 관심 정도는 많은 차이를 보이고 있었다. 그러나 원예활동에서의 공통된 특성은 지적장애 학생의 경우 이론과 노작을 통한 원예 접근 보다는 호기심과 흥미를 유발할 수 있는 만들기, 꾸미기형 원예 프로그램이 가장 많은 집중과 관심도가 나타나므로 이러한 흥미가 직업관련 교육프로그램 접근요소에 중요한 인자라는 것을 본 연구로 분석할 수 있었다. 즉, 지적장애 대학생으로 원예를 비롯한 다양한 분야로 진로모색을 하는 대상자들에게 맞는 원예재활 프로그램은 장식적인 원예 프로그램이 직업에 대한 관심과 접근성을 높이는데 가장 영향을 줌으로 이 점이 프로그램 구성 지침에 반영 되어야 할 것이다. 그리고 이후 실제 원예재활 직업프로그램 실행을 위하여는 개인별 적응도와 작업수행 평가 등을 실시하여 원예 재활관련 직업 적합도를 대상자 특성과 연관하여 단계별로 매뉴얼화하고 교육의 전과 후의 적응도의 차이 등을 연구함으로 직업재활분야에 원예재활 프로그램이 체계적으로 정착되어 나가야 할 것이다.

The university students with intellectual disabilities is the most important thing for them to have a job in order to live an fair life in our society. Recently various welfare services have increased for the intellectual disabilities. Based on horticulture activities that intellectual disabilities prefer and their understanding in horticulture plants and preferred job, the horticulture programs have been increased having high employment opportunity for intellectual disabilities. This study was to evaluate the impact on the job program and adaptive behavior to people with disabilities through the horticulture activity. To achieve this aim I interviewed some experts and investigated the rehabilitation program. I also analysed some horticultual activity program and satisfaction of the people who are looking for horticultural vocation. First of all, I made a pilot program for intellectual disabilities. After this pilot program, I analysis the correlation of vocation concerning and horticultural activity satisfaction. The result, the horticultural program that I should consider to make a high satisfaction of vocation program is decorating horticultural activity. They are decorating crafts flower basket, corsage and so on. Based on this findings I propose a decorating flower and garden decoration program will use very useful for intellectual disabilities and become a good skill as a job ability.
