본 연구는 원예치료에서 다양한 활동기법이라고 할 수 있는 화훼작품을 이용한 원예전시회를 통해 작품들을 선보이고 각각의 작품들이 갖는 미적가치와 작품을 제작하고픈 성취욕에 대한 일반인들의 참여의식을 고취하여 원예치료를 홍보하는데 목적을 두었다. 전시회는 2007년 4월 13일부터 4월 15일 까지 3일 동안 실시하였고, 전시된 작품들은 모두 11가지 작품들로 허브, 난, 코사지, 부케, 조화, 꽃바구니, 꽃꽂이, 압화, 자연프린팅, 사탕부케, 미니정원 등이다. 전시된 원예치료 작품을 방문객들에게 설문조사를 한 결과, 전체적으로 폐품을 재활용한 미니정원(바구니)과 일상생활에 유용하게 이용할 수 있는 자연프린팅 작품을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 조사대상자들의 원예활동 흥미도는 매우 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 원예치료를 적용하면 효과적인 대상에 대한 결과로 스트레스를 받는 모든 사람들이라고 응답하였다.

This research aimed first to advertise the several horticultural artwork through a horticulture exhibition using flowering plants that can be considered to be a various form of horticultural therapy. The participatory desire of the general public in wishing to achieve artwork that have artistic value for each work was taken into consideration and the main aim for this exhibition was to advertise about horticultural therapy. The exhibition was carried out from April 13th 2007 to April 15th for three days. The artwork that was on display totalled 11 and they included, herbs, orchids, corsages, bouquets, imitation flowers, flower baskets, flower arrangements, press flower, natural printing, candy bouquets and mini gardens. After taking a survey from the visitors about the horticultural therapy exhibition, the result showed that the general public preferred on the whole, mini gardens(baskets) that used recycled material, and printing work that could be used in daily lives. The interest rate shown by the targets of the survey were very high. As to the answer to the question just who would be the appropriate people to receive the horticultural therapy, they answered all people who were under a lot of stress.
