충남농업기술원 예산국화시험장에서 생장이 균일하고 조 기개화성인 스탠다드국화 신품종을 육성하기 위하여 모 본인 ‘Otome’에서 방임수분하여 실생종자를 채종하였다. 2006년 실생집단으로부터 개화가 균일하고 볼륨감이 우 수한 개체를 선발하여 ‘ST07-015-01’로 계통명을 부여하 였고, 2007년부터 2009년까지 3년간에 걸쳐 주년 생산 성 검정을 통해 ‘Hi Maya’를 육성하였다. ‘Hi Maya’의 자연개화기는 9월 하순경이고 대비품종인 ‘Otome’는 10월 하순보다 27일 빨랐다. ‘Hi Maya’는 겹꽃으로 꽃잎은 연 분홍색인 적색/자주색(Red-Purple 69B)이고 ‘Otome’는 적 색/자주색(Red-Purple 78B)로 색이 진한 편이다. 꽃의 크 기는 ‘Hi Maya’가 13.8cm이고 ‘Otome’가 11.3cm이었다. 측지제거수는 ‘Hi Maya’가 21.3개이고 ‘Otome’도 24,1개 로 유사하였다. 소화당 꽃잎수는 ‘Hi Maya’가 307.3화 /화이고 ‘Otome’도 389.0매/화로 측지성품종이었다. ‘Hi Maya’의 재배상 유의사항으로는 6월부터 9월까지 정식하 는 작형에서 조기에 불시발뢰하는 증상이 발생하므로 에 세폰 1회 처리와 심야전조 5시간을 처리하여야 한다. 또 한 유의점은 고온기에 화색이 분홍색에서 흰색계통으로 변색되므로 서늘하게 관리하여야 한다.
In Yesan chrysanthemum research station of Chungcheongnmado agricultural research and extension service, a standard chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflorum Ramat.) cultivar “Hi Maya” was bred by open pollination of ‘Otome’. In 2006, we selected a descendant based on early flowering and other morphological traits and subse-quently endowed it with descendant line number ‘ST07-015-01’. This line was tested for various characteristics related to the floral qualities through shading and retarding culture from the year 2006 to 2009, selecting ‘Hi Maya’ as a result. The natural flowering time of ‘Hi Maya’ was late September, which is 27 days earlier than the maternal parent. It has a decorative type flowers with light pink petals (Red-Purple 69B) but ‘Otome’ is red-purple type (Red-Purple 7B). The flower size is 13.8cm (‘Hi Maya’) versus 11.3cm (‘Otome’) respectively. It is known as lateral branch type same as ‘Otome’ and its petal number was 307.3 per flower (389 per flower for ‘Otome’). During summer growing season (from June to September), unexpected early flowering potentially occurs for ‘Hi Maya’, which could be treated by one time ethepone and the midnight lighting application. Additionally, since it is possible that the color of petals becomes whitish under high temperature condition, cooling condition may be required during the summer season.
