According to 10CFR50.150, all applicants for new nuclear power plant designs after July 13, 2009
must perform a design-specific assessment of the effects on the facility of the impact of a large, commercial aircraft using realistic analyses. The purpose of the work described in this paper is to evaluate the safety of the APR+ nuclear power plant with respect to the impact by a large commercial aircraft using the missile-target interaction analysis method.
