초록

Although PSC girder bridges are widely applied to highway bridge, cross beams are considered as secondary member, not primary. Using simplified and/or experimental formula, five equi-spaced cross beams are conventionally designed in the field depending on standard drawings. Since structural damages are found frequently in the connection between girder and cross beam under traffic loads, the number of cross beams are reported to decrease in design of railway bridge like highway bridge. This study presents the possibility or applicability to decrease the number of cross beams of PSC girder railway bridge.
