내러티브는 삶과 분리 될 수 없는 것으로 우리의 경험이며, 사고양식이다. 나아가 내 러티브 탐구는 지식을 구성하는 방식이며, 교육과정이 될 수 있다. 이러한 내러티브 교 육은 교육현장에서도 널리 적용되고 있으며, 유아기 아동의 교육방법으로 매우 적절할 것이다. 특히 생애 초기의 교육을 내러티브 탐구로 시작한다면 자연스럽게 아동은 내러 티브 탐구를 통한 지식을 구성할 수 있을 것이다. 몬테소리 교육은 루소와 프뢰벨에 이 은 자연주의적 교육사상을 기초로 하여, 20세기 아동중심교육을 유아교육에 실천을 이 루었다고 할 수 있다. 일반적인 유치원에 ‘몬테소리 교육’ 또는 ‘몬테소리 교육과정’ 이라 는 말을 하지 않더라도 사랑과 아동의 자유를 강조한 몬테소리의 사상은 유아교육 일반 에 녹아 있다. 이러한 몬테소리의 교육에 내러티브 탐구를 더한다면 유아기 아동이 스스 로 지식을 구성하고, 다음 시기에서의 지식과 탐구를 통한 성장에도 많은 시사점을 제공 할 것이다.

As something that cannot be separated from life, narrative is considered not only what we go through but also how we think. Furthermore, when it comes to narrative inquiry, it is a way of how knowledge is formed, and it can be even a curriculum. Such narrative education is being widely applied in a field of education and as far as this study believes, it is a very much proper education method targeting children in their early childhood. In particular, if this child’s very first education in one’s life begins with the narrative inquiry, it will be working as one of the most natural chances for the child to build up knowledge through the narrative inquiry. Originated from thoughts of the naturalistic education which were adopted also by Rousseau and Frobel, Montessori education is being regarded as an educational method to practice this child-centered education in the field of early childhood education of the 20th century. Even when no one would actually use these terms such as ‘Montessori education’ and ‘Montessori curriculum’ to describe general education courses of kindergartens, everyone knows only well how always this thought or belief of Montessori that highlights love and children’s freedom plays a significant role in educating children in early childhood. Once Montessori education is combined with the narrative inquiry, not only will such collaboration help children in early childhood to form knowledge, but it will also provide the children with multiple implications related to growth and development through knowledge and inquiry continued still in any following stages.
