색채는 모든 조형예술과 디자인의 기본이 되는 학문인데 반해 색채이론을 체계화시키고 인지교육에 필요한 교안과 교재는 참으로 부족한 현실이다. 색채는 모든 디자인영역에서 인간에게 미치는 시각적 영향력이 가장 큰 요소인데 반해 색채와 관련된 교육과정은 현재 한국산업인력공단이 주최하는 자격시험인 ‘컬러리스트 산업기사ㆍ기사에 대비하는 콘텐츠가 대부분이다. 따라서 색의 기초인 색상, 명도, 채도의 삼속성의 개념 인지와 함께 배색활용에 기반을 둔 색채교육실습모형과 교구제작은 매우 중요한 의의를 갖는다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 현재 색채학 강의를 담당하고 있는 강사를 대상으로 설문을 통해 강의전반에 관한 사항과 개선점등을 알아보았고 좀 더 색채를 정확히 이해하고 활용할 수 있는 방법에 대하여 고찰해 보고자 한다. 따라서 본 연구를 통하여 향후에는 많은 디자인대학의 필수전공과목인 색채 학이 학생들에게 좀 더 체계적인 콘텐츠와 함께 흥미로운 교구가 제작되어 색채교육의 다양화가 이루어지기를 기대한다.
