본 연구는 사회복지적 차원에서 노인 대상 성교육 및 성상담 프로그램을 통하여 노인의 성 문제를 효과적으로 원조하는 방법을 찾고자 하는 탐색적인 연구이다. 문헌연구 및 노인 대상 성교육 및 성상담 실천현장의 전문가를 대상으로 노인 성교육 및 성상담에 대 한 인식을 묻는 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 그리고 인터뷰 결과를 근거로 성교육 및 성상담 프로그램을 구성하였으며, 노인복지회관에서 전문가에 의해 실시되는 노인들을 대상으로 한 성교육 및 성상담 프로그램의 진행과정을 관찰하였고 참가자들의 프로그램 만족도를 평가하였다. 따라서 노인들이 갖는 의사소통의 어려움, 남녀 간의 성적 차이, 성 인식의 차이에서 나타나는 문제들을 대처하기 위해 사회복지적 요인 적용 성교육 및 성상담 프로그램을 운영하였더니 사회복지적 요인 적용 프로그램뿐만 아니라 전반적인 집단프로그램에 대한 만족도가 높게 나왔으며, 노인의 성문제 해결 가능성을 예측할 수 있는 효과가 나타났다. 또한 사회복지적 요인 적용 성교육 및 성상담 프로그램은 노인의 의사소통능력 향상과 남녀 간의 성적 차이와 성 인식의 차이 이해에 영향을 줄 수 있다고 예측할 수 있다.

This study is the exploratory research to find the effective helping method for sexuality problem by applying the sexuality education and counseling program to the elderly people in social welfare label. The Focus Group Interview has been done to specialists, who are in the practical field for the aged person’s sexuality education and counseling, for asking recognitions to the elderly people’s sexuality education and counseling and this study was enforced by literature research of the aged person’s sexuality education and counseling. Based on the result of interview, sexuality education and counseling program applying social welfare has been made, and then specialists, who are in elderly people’s support center, proceeded and observed the group of aged persons and evaluated the satisfaction. The result of the research had been shown the high satisfaction overall and also can predict to find the solution of the problem by managing the sexuality education and counseling applying social welfare program to handle the problems of elderly people’s communication, sexuality between male and female, and sexuality perception difference. This program is also predictable that affecting to improve the ability of communication and the understanding of sexuality and perception difference of the elderly people.
