【벼리】언어학습이란 학습의 주체가 되는 학습자 중심으로 이루어지 는 것이므로 학습자가 취하는 언어 학습전략(Langage Learning Strategy)은 성공적인 언어학습에 매우 중요하다. 학습자들이 훈련을 통해서 학습전략을 자유롭게 쓸 수 있도록 한다면 성공적인 언어학습 의 결과를 얻을 수 있을 것이다. 일상 수업활동에서 학습전략훈련을 하 고, 학습자들이 언어능력을 높이는 매개체로 학습전략을 사용할 것을 권한다면 언어 학습전략은 매우 유용할 것이다. 본 연구는 한국어를 배우는 외국인이 학습일지를 작성하는 것이 한국어 능력 향상과 언어 학습전략에 어떤 영향을 미치는가를 알아보는 데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 학업 성취도별 학습전략의 사용 양 상을 비교하고, 학습일지를 쓰는 훈련을 진행하였다. 학습일지를 쓰게 한 결과 학업성취도 상위그룹 학습자들이 하위그룹에 비해서 상위인지 전략뿐만 아니라 거의 모든 언어 학습전략에서 향상이 된 것을 알 수 있었다. 그러므로 교실에서 이루어지는 한국어 학습의 한계점을 극복할 수 있도록 한국어 수업에서 학습일지를 적극적으로 활용한다면 학습자 들의 성공적인 한국어 수행에 효과가 있을 것이다.

Language strategy of a learner is essential in studying a language as the learner is the major actor who lead the learning process. Successful learning outcomes will be acquired if learners are allowed to apply learning strategies on their own through training. Indeed, Language learning strategy will bear fruit when learning strategy training is performed in class and recommended to be used to as a medium to improve a learner's language ability. This study aims to explore the effect of making learning journal on Korean language skills and language learning strategy of a foreigner studying Korean. To this end, applied learning strategies were compared depending on learners' academic performance. In addition, learners were asked to write learning log. The results have suggested that learners with high academic performance witnessed an improvement in both meta-cognitive strategy and in most of the language learning strategies. In a nutshell, the use of learning log in Korean class will allow students to advance their Korean language ability by helping them to overcome limitations of Korean classes given in class.
