Job perception of public kindergarten teachers and analysis on need for education and support
본 연구는 공립유치원교사가 자신이 수행하는 직무의 수행도, 중요도, 난이도에 대하여 어떠한 인식을 가지고 있는지를 분석해보고, 나아가 교육 및 지원의 필요도를 밝히고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 연구결과, 공립유치원교사는 본 연구에 기술된 직무를 보통 이상으로 자주 수행하는 것으로 나타났으며 자신의 직무 를 다소 중요하게 생각하였고, 직무의 난이도는 보통 이상으로 어려워하는 것으로 나타났다. 공립유치원교 사에게 교육 및 지원이 우선적으로 요구되는 직무영역은 교육활동영역이고, 교수학습 실제와 학부모 관계 에서 교육 및 지원의 요구가 높게 나타났다.
The purpose of this research is to investigate the job perception of public kindergarten teachers and the perception differences among the teachers according to different variables. And furthermore, it also aims at analysing the need for education and support to them.
The target of this study is 338 public kindergarten teachers across the country who were randomly chosen by the researcher. In this study, research tool was utilized after being modified by the researcher, through preliminary survey and the validity verification of two professionals in early childhood education based on the preceding research.
Results from the research are as follows:
Firstly, public kindergarten teachers were found to perform their job duties to some extent, with the average of 3.5 for the frequency of job duties. And they perceived their job as fairly important with an average of 4.10 for the importance of their job. And it appeared that the teachers think of their job as more difficult than normal with 3.7 points.
Secondly, when it comes to the need for education and support, on the basis of the job perception of public kindergarten teachers on the frequency of job duties, the importance of job, and the level of difficulty of job, it was found that they need education and support highly both on education activity in working territory, and on actual instruction method and relationships with parents in the division of work.
