The superfamily Coccoidea, known as scale insects, are economical pests of agricultural, ornamental, and greenhouse plants, as well as highly intercepted insects in quarantine inspection. However, their faunal study have been poorly conducted in Myanmar. During recent field investigations in Myanmar, we collected thirty-seven new records: Coccidae (17), Diaspididae (4), Eriococcidae (1), Monophlebidae (4), Ortheziidae (1) and Pseudococcidae (10). In this study, total eighty-eight species in 15 families of scale insects are listed from Myanmar. Diagnoses and photographs are provided with keys to the Burmese scale insects. Also, the economical importance for each major pests is discussed.
