The rapid increase in frequency of earthquakes in Jeju that awakened the public concern about seismic performance of bridge columns. This research presents case studies on the evaluation of seismic performance of existing bridge columns conducted in Jeju-si, and investigates the elementary data, system of bridge structure, configuration of reinforcement steel and concrete strength of bridge columns in Jeju-si.
