Since the citrus flatid planthopper, Metcalfa pruinosa (Say, 1830), was firstly reported from Korea, they are rapidlyspreading on a national scale and causing serious damages on many valuable crops. Until now, Gangwon Province israrely spread except few south-west area, Wonju and Hoengseong. But after recent investigation in Gangwon Province,its additional distributions are verified in several regions. Also, we analyzed the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit-I(COI) gene by neighbor joining method to identify whether populations of M. pruinosa in Gangwon Province show samegenetic composition with existing populations.
