본 연구의 목적은 노인복지관의 운영 및 무용프로그램·서비스의 질적 향상을 도모하여, 앞으 로 노인복지관이 고령사회 노인들의 삶의 질을 향상시킬 수 있도록 바람직한 역할과 기능을 재 정립 시키는 데 있다. 이러한 목적을 수행하기 위해 노인복지관 관계자 인터뷰를 실시하였으며, 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 복지관의 회원모집, 프로그램 계획, 강사모집에 있어서 4개의 복지관은 거의 같은 방식 으로 운영되고 있었다. 둘째, 노인복지에 있어 예산상의 어려움이 문제점으로 제기 되었으며, 정부의 지원이 많이 부족함을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 현재 운용되고 있는 노인 무용프로그램은 중 복되거나 비슷한 양상을 보이고 있었다. 넷째, 한국무용프로그램의 문제점에 대해서는 대부분의 복지관에서 전문적이다, 어렵다라는 인식이 문제점으로 지적되었다. 이와 같은 결과는 노인복지관의 재정적인 문제 해결과 한국무용의 인식 변화가 이루어져야 함을 시사하며, 이를 해결하기 위해 다음과 같이 제언한다. 첫째, 노인복지의 발전을 위해 정부 의 적극적인 지원이 필요하다. 둘째, 남성노인들의 무용관련프로그램 참여를 위해 무용이 여성 만 하는 것이 아니라는 사실을 시청각 자료를 활용해 홍보 할 필요가 있으며, 남성노인들이 배 울 수 있는 무용프로그램 개발에도 힘써야 할 것이다. 셋째, 한국무용은 어렵다는 인식을 바꾸 기 위해서 시니어 공연단을 모집하여 활동할 것을 제안한다. 전문무용수의 공연은 어렵다는 인 식을 갖게 하므로 시니어 공연단의 활동모습을 쉽게 접하게 한다면 인식변화에 도움이 될 것이 라 사료된다. 이와 같은 사항들이 수용되어진다면 노인복지에 있어 보다 질 높은 교육과 더불어 한국무용 의 인식변화로 인한 대중화가 활발히 진행 될 것으로 사료된다.

The purpose of this study is to improve the quality of the service, dance programs and management of senior warehouse so that it can rearrange desirable function and make quality of senior’s life improved. To conduct this purpose, I interviewed the one who related to senior warehouse and I got the result these followings. First, the recruitment members, and instructors and the plans of programs have been run alike. Second, the difficulty of budget was brought up as a problem, and I could know that the support of government has been insufficient a lot. Third, almost senior dance programs are run alike and overlapped. Fourth, the problem which was pointed out is that the most Korean dance programs at warehouse are too specialized and too difficult for seniors. This results show that we need to solve the financial problem and the awareness of Korean dance should be changed. To solve these, first of all we need aggressive supporting from the government. Second, not only for female seniors, but also for male seniors participating in dance program, we need to show them visible material like video clips or photos. Plus, we need to develop the programs for make seniors. Third, to change the awareness of Korean dance, I suggest recruiting senior members and making them work in the field. The performance of professional dancers makes people have stereotype that Korean dance is too difficult. So, if the seniors can contact the performance by seniors, it will be very helpful to break the stereotype. If these ideas are accepted, we can expect the positive facts such as the better education by the better quality of senior welfare and the popularization of Korean dance by the change of the awareness.
