본 연구는 명화감상활동이 유아의 언어표현능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 연구이다. 실험집단과 통제집단은 각각 경기도 D병설유치원 만 5세 유아 20명, K병설유치원 만 5세 유아 20명이다. 연구도구는 장영애(1981)가 만 4～6세 수준에 맞게 제작한 언어능력 검사도구 가운데 언어표현능력 부분만 발췌하여 사용하였다. 연구 결과 명화감상활동은 유아의 언어표현능력에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 창의적 표현 부분에서는 연관성이 없음이 나타났다.

In this paper, researchers examined the effects of art appreciation activities on children’s language expression ability. The result of this study showed that the art appreciation activity positively influences children’s language expression ability. The meaningful results regrading children’s language expression ability such as number of words, number of sentences, consistency of contents and connectivity of language expressions were found.
