본 연구는 인기아와 비인기아의 갈등해결전략을 비교해 보고 이를 통해 또래간의 갈등과 유아들의 사회적 관계의 어려움을 심층적으로 이해하기 위해 수행하였다. 본 연구의 참여자는 서울특별시 S구에 소재한 사립유치원 파랑반 만5세 유아 23명 가운데 또래지명법에 의해 선정된 인기아 7명, 비인기아 3명이다. 인기아와 비인기아의 갈등해결전략을 비교한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째. 인기아의 경우, 절충전략, 회피전략과 양보전략을 많이, 그러나 지배전략과 협력전략을 적게 사용했다. 둘째, 비인기아는, 지배전략과 회피전략을 많이, 그러나 절충전략과 양보전략이 적게 사용했다. 인기아는 절충전략과 회피전략를 상호보완하는 방식으로 활용하고, 부정적인 전략 사용을 감소시키는 방식으로 갈등해결전략을 사용하였다. 반면 비인기아가 사용하는 회피전략과 지배전략은 서로 부정적인 상승작용을 일으켜 다른 유아들에게 부정적인 인식을 심어주고 있었다. 회피전략은 인기아와 비인기아 모두 많이 사용한 전략이지만, 인기아는 놀이에서 이탈하지 않는 방식으로 회피전략을 사용했지만, 비인기아는 갈등상황에서 이탈하는 방법으로 회피전략을 활용하였다.

The study compared popular young children’s conflicts resolution strategies with unpopular young children’s. This study designed to provide information regarding young children’s peer conflicts and their difficulties using conflicts resolution strategies. The participants of this study were 7 popular children and 3 unpopular children selected by peer-nomination method. The results of a study comparing conflict resolution strategies between popular and unpopular young children were as follows. First, popular children used a lot of integrating, avoiding, and obliging strategies, and less dominating and compromising strategies. Second, unpopular children used much of dominating and avoiding strategies, and less of integrating and obliging strategies.
