본 연구는 영유아 시기에 자녀를 둔 어머니가 인식하는 사회적 지지가 양육 태도에 미치는 영향에서 양육 효능감의 매개효과를 알아보고자 하는 것이었다. 연구 대상은 서울시 지역과 경지도 지역에 위치한 평가인증을 통과한 어린이집에 자녀를 보내고 있는 학부모 173명이었다. 연구 도구는 사회적 지지, 양육 효능감, 양육 태도에 대한 설문지를 사용하였으며, 자료 분석은 SPSS 23.0 프로그램을 사용하여 상관 분석과 회귀 분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구 분석 결과로는 첫째, 사회적 지지, 양육 태도, 양육 효능감의 관련성은 각 개념의 하위 요인끼리 정적인 상관을 나타내었다. 단, 통제적․거부적 양육 태도는 긍정적인 양육 태도의 반대 개념으로서 대체로 다른 모든 변수들과 유의한 부적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 어머니가 인식하는 사회적지지가 양육 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있었고, 이에 대한 양육 효능감이 매개 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 어머니의 긍정적 양육 태도에 대한 이해와 더불어 양육에 직접 참여하고 있는 어머니에 대한 주변 상황을 이해할 수 있는 어머니의 역할에 대한 부모교육 및 어머니에 대한 양육지원서비스 확대를 위한 프로그램 개발에 본 연구가 기초자료로 제공될 것으로 기대된다.
This study examines the mediating effect of nurturing efficacy in relation to social support and nurturing attitude among child's mothers who send their children to a day care center. A survey was conducted on 173 mothers that have children in day care centers currently in Seoul and Gyeong-gi Province, South Korea. Social support, nurturing attitude, and nurturing efficacy were surveyed as a study tool and the survey data was analyzed with correlation analysis and regression analysis using SPSS 23.0. The results of the study are as follows. First, social support, nurturing attitude, and nurturing efficacy had static correlation with each subfactor. However, the controlled, rejected nurturing attitude, which is an opposite concept of positive nurturing, had a generally significant non-correlation with the other variables. Second, social support affected mothers' nurturing attitude, which leads to mothers' nurturing efficacy as one of the mediating variables. Therefore, this study indicated the understanding of not only mother's nurturing attitude but also perceiving the importance of mother's nurturing education and social support.
