The keyword of novels on Shen, Congwen(沈從文) lies in life. All his works are full of depictions, admiration, and speculation. Characters on his literature related to life can be classified in three factors. First, there is mind which is deploring the determination of life. Second, life-idea completed with the mutual relation in the way of love, beauty, death, and god perceived by an origin religion peculiar to the regions. At last requirements of the times called a new creation of a culture depend on the Enlightenment of the 4th of May. The process of the quest and pursuit through his novel can be seen as cultural meanings to realize within universal truths of human being that we call it the truth, the good, and the beauty.
