북한 정권은 김일성 3대 세습 체제를 공고히 하는 과정에서 음악을 적극 활용하고 있다. 북한의 절대적 권력자인 수령의 형상을 창조하고, 계승하고, 발전시키는 역할을 하는 것이 수령형상 음악이며, 주체사상 이라는 종교성이 담겨있다. 본 연구에서는 수령형상 음악의 가사와 악곡을 한국의 복음성가와 비교 분석하였고, 그 결과 기독교적 특성이 인입되어 있음을 확인하였다. 따라서 수령형상 음악과 복음성가와의 공통성을 적절히 활용하면 향후 한반도 통일의 과정과 통일 이후 남북한 주민들이 직면할 사상적 괴리감을 줄일 수 있을 것이다. 이러한 인식 아래 복음적 평화 통일 기반 조성을 위해 음악을 활용한 선교적 시사점을 두 가지로 제시하였는데, 음악치료를 통한 선교적 접근과 복음성가를 통한 영적 접근이다. 핵심은 북한 주민들의 사상과 삶 속에 자리잡고 있는 수령형상을 창조주 하나님으로 대체시키는 것이다. 이러한 영적 회복이 이루어질 때 북한 복음화는 더욱 가속화될 것이다.

Suryong Image Music creates, inherits and develops the image of Suryong, who is the absolute power of North Korea, and has a religiosity called Juche ideology. Through the analysis of Korean gospel song lyrics, it was found that the Christian attributes are imbued in Suryong Image Music. Therefore, if the similarity between two music can be properly utilized, the ideological divide between two Koreas can be reduced. Under this recognition, two missionary implications using music were presented: a missionary approach through music therapy and a spiritual approach through Korean gospel songs. The key is to replace Suryong image in the thoughts and lives of North Koreans with the Creator God. When such a spiritual recovery is made, the evangelization of North Korean will be further accelerated.
