이 논문은 일제 강점기 조선의 유학자였던 海窓 宋基植(1878~1949)이 제작한 초학 한문교재『速修漢文訓蒙』에 대한 연구이다. 조선 유학의 대표적인 학자이자 조선의 유교개혁론을 부르짖었던 해창 송기식은 조선유교의 미래를 위해 서양교육에 맞설 만한 쉽고, 재미있고, 빠르게 배울 수 있는 새로운 한문교재를 개발하기에 이르렀다. 이것이 『速修漢文訓蒙』이란 교재이다. 이 교재는 일재의 감시 하에 조선의 곳곳에서 강의되기 시작했다.
이 교재는 일제강점기 아동들의 한자교육을 현실에 맞게 과학적이고 합리적으로 편찬한 교재이다. 이 책은 일제강점기 서구의 사상이 물밀 듯이 들어와 우리민족의 전통 유교문화를 붕괴시키면서 서구의 기독교사상이 확산되어 나가자 이에 대응하려는 다양한 유교적인 현실대응논리가 나타나고 있던 시기 서당의 아동들의 한문교육을 위해 만들어진 아동교육 교재이다.
이 책은 일반적으로 한자교육의 기본서로서 널리 알려진 千字文의 형식을 개혁하여 당시 생활에 맞게 재구성한 것이다. 이 책은 더 나아가 천자문, 동몽선습 등을 비롯하여 유교경전 및 근사록 등 신유학의 교재에서 가려 뽑아 내용을 새롭게 구성하여 새로운 현실에 맞는 한자어를 선정하여 익히고 이를 바탕으로 자연스럽게 한문으로 나아갈 수 있도록 학습단계를 설정하여 만든 우수한 교재이다. 이 책에는 서구의 사상에 맞서 성리학적 도통을 수호하고, 일제의 식민지에서 벗어나고자 하는 조선독립의 의지가 함의되어 있었다.

This paper is a Confucian scholar of Joseon during Japanese occupation, Haechang(海窓) Song, Ki-sig(宋基植, 1949 to 1878) produced by Chinese characters first learning materials The 『Soksuhanmunhunmong(速修漢文訓蒙)』 for research. Haechang Song, Ki-sig, a leading scholar of Joseon's study and a proponent of Joseon's Confucian reform, has come to develop a new Chinese literature textbook that can be easily, fun and quickly learned to confront Western education for the future of Joseon Confucianism. This is a textbook called 『Soksuhanmunhunmong(速修漢文訓蒙)』. The textbook began to be taught in various parts of the Joseon Dynasty under the watchful eye of the Japanese Imperial.
The manual was sent during Japanese Ruling Era of scientific and reasonably fit the realities of Chinese children's education textbooks compiled. This book is Japanese occupation in the West's water rushed in traditional Confucian culture of our nation from the collapse of the Western Christian ideas by the Let's get out of it.Logical response to the response to a variety of Confucian reality of Seodang of the children who had to be taught education materials designed for children.
This book is a reform of The 『Chunzamun(千字文)』, which is widely known as the basic book of Chinese character education, and is reconstructed to suit life at that time. Furthermore, this book is an excellent textbook made by setting up a stage of learning so that it can select and learn Chinese characters that suit the new reality and proceed naturally to Chinese. In this book, it was meant to defend the sacred passage against Western ideas and to be independent of the Joseon Dynasty to escape from Japanese colonial rule.
