SW 교육 초심자의 학습동기부여 및 참여도를 높이기 위한 효과적인 플랫폼 연구-
최근 선진국을 중심으로 소프트웨어(SW) 교육의 중요성에 대한 연구는 계속 쏟아져 나오고 있다. 단순히 프로그래밍 언어를 습득한다는 개념을 넘어서서 논리적 사고력, 문제 해결력 등의 향상을 목적으로 한 SW 교육은 SW 교육 플랫폼을 중심으로 다양하게 개발, 연구되어 지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터를 활용한 SW 학습 플랫폼을 SW 교육을 처음 접하는 학습자들에게 적용하여 SW 교육 플랫폼의 중요성과 효과적인 SW 교육 플랫폼의 요소에 대해 고찰하고 학생들의 동기부여와 참여도를 높이기 위해 게임화 된 학습의 필요성에 대해 논하고자 한다.
Recently, there are many of researches related on the importance of software(SW) education in many countries. SW education which aims to improve logical thinking ability and problem solving ability beyond the concept of learning a programming language has been developed and studied variously based on the SW education platform. Among them the importance of education to combine play with learning is growing. Many schools have already begun to apply game elements such as using board games for student's learning and making games using SW education platform. In this study we apply computer game based SW learning platform to learners who are new to SW education and consider importance of SW education platform and elements of effective SW education platform. We use two platform a well-known SW education platform “Entry” and our research based educational game platform, “Coding Puzzle”and measure student's satisfaction after SW classes. In our study, we apply game design elements such as character customization, puzzle game system and game level up system to study SW education than we address the need for game-based learning to motivate and engage students.
