<김복남 살인사건의 전말>은 폭력적인 남성성을 폭력적으로 전복하는 과격하고 선정적인 복수극이다. 그런데도 이 영화는 많은 관객을 동원했고, 많은 평론가에게 호평을 받았다. 이는 성 정치학을 낭만화하는 서사적 전략이 효과를 발휘한 것이다. 이 글은 <김복남 살인사건의 전말>을 중심으로 성 정치학을 표현하 는 플롯이 낭만적 상징을 통해 관객에게 성찰적으로 내면화되게 하는 서사적 전략을 들여다볼 것이다. 플롯은 중심사건들의 개연성을 통해 서사가 끝내 이러저러하게 되어야만 했다는 도덕성을 함의할 수 있다. 이에 비해 주변사건들의 암시적 상징이나 공간의 명시적 상징은 서사의 미학성을 함축할 수 있다. 주변사 건들이 중심사건들의 선형적인 플롯을 상징하는 역할을 할 때 플롯의 도덕성은 상징적인 주변사건들에 의해 낭만적이고 시적인 형상으로 내면화될 수 있다. 극단적인 성 정치의 도덕을 담은 플롯을 주변사건들 과 공간의 상징을 통해 낭만화하는 것은 극단적인 성 정치학을 성찰하게 할 수도 있는 것이다. 이 글은 먼저 <김복남 살인사건의 전말>의 성 정치학이 플롯에 어떻게 표현되는지를 분석할 것이다. 그리고 성 정치학이 낭만화된 레즈비언 페미니즘을 관객이 내면화하게 만드는 서사적 전략의 공과(功過)를 논의할 것이다. 레즈비언 페미니즘은 폭력적인 성 정치학을 성찰하게 하지만 그렇다고 폭력의 낭만적인 형상이 아닐 수는 없기 때문이다.

The movie Bedevilled is about a radical and sensational revenge that violently overturns masculinity. It attracted many people and was well received by many critics. This may be due to its narrative strategy, which romanticizes sexual politics. This study will look at the narrative strategy that makes people reflectively perceive sexual politics of its plot through romantic symbols. A plot can imply morality; that the narrative has to end up this or that way through the probability of kernels. In contrast, the implicit depiction of satellites or the explicit depiction of space can imply the aesthetics of narrative. When a pictorial and descriptive narrative serves to symbolize the morality of a linear plot, the morality of the plot is perceived within a romantic and poetic form. Romanticizing the plot of sexual politics, as in Bedevilled, through the symbols of satellites or space makes it easy for readers to perceive the morality of plot reflectively. This study will first specifically analyze how sexual politics of Bedevilled is expressed with the probability of kernels, and then discuss how readers can perceive lesbian feminism that portrays it aesthetically. However, we should know that, while the lesbian feminism reflects the violent sexual politics of Bedevilled, it also symbolizes the violence.
