현시대에 이르러 이른바 4차 산업혁명의 담론이 범람하고 있다. 이처럼 엄중한 상황에서 인문학의 사회적 책무는 4차 산업혁명이란 것은 도대체 무엇인지, 그것은 또 어떠한 역사사 회적 과정과 맥락에서 등장하게 됐는지를 규명하는 작업을 최우선 과제로 삼는 일일 것이다. 이런 문제의식을 토대로, 이 작업은 현시대, 4차 산업혁명의 시대를 속도혁명 또는 질주정적 혁명의 시대로 상정, 규명하고, 속도-헤게모니에 맞설 수 있는 리듬-대항헤게모니의 가능성, 달리 말해 그 둘 간의 변증법적 관계 설정의 가능성을 한자의 문화콘텐츠화에서 모색한다. 다양한 이론적 작업을 통해 한자의 문화콘텐츠화를 뒷받침하고 한자 자체의 사회적 가치를 증진하는 것이야말로 미래의 시민과 시민사회 형성에 기여하리라는 주장도 아울러 펼친다.

We have, up to the contemporary era, been inundated with discourses of the so-called fourth industrial revolution. Under such a serious situation, the social responsibility of humanities would be to prioritize the need to address the two following questions: one, what is the fourth industrial revolution, and, the other, in what historical-social processes and contexts it has come into play. Based on such problematization, this work, most of all, seeks to postulate and identify the contemporary era as that of the speed revolution or dromocratic revolution, and explores some possibilities of rhythm-counterhegemony against speed-hegemony, which is, in other words, those of establishing a dialectical relationship between the two within the context of cultural contentization of Hanja. And it is also argued that not merely supporting the cultural contentization of Hanja as such through a variety of theoretical works but promoting the social value of Hanja per se will contribute to the formation of future citizens and future civil society. For, “rhythms ― historical, but also everyday, ‘at the heart of the lived [au plus près de vécu]’ ― are not, in our opinion, strangers.” as Henri Lefebvre claims.
