｢한국기독공보｣는 1946년 1월 17일에 발간되어 74년 동안 출판된 한국 에서 가장 오래된 주간지이며 대한예수교장로회(통합)의 기관지이다. 최근 에 ｢공보｣는 4만 페이지 이상의 자료를 디지털 아카이브로 만들어서 누구 든지 쉽게 사용할 수 있게 했다. 이 논문은 디지털아카이브를 사용해서 얻 은 1차 자료를 통해 ｢공보｣의 초기 역사(1946-1979)를 구성한 것이다. 특 히 ｢공보｣가 혼란기를 거쳐 에큐메니칼적 정체성을 확립하고(1960년대), 재정자립을 구축하고(1970년대), 대정부와 사회를 향해 예언자적 사명을 다하는 신문으로 발전하는 역사를 추적했다. 이 역사작업은 한국 기독교 언론의 가치와 의미를 보여준다.

The oldest weekly magazine in Korea and the gazette of the Presbyterian Church of Korea(Tonghap), The Gidoggongbo was born on January 17, 1947 and has published papers over 3200 times for 74 years. Recently, the Gazette made more than 40,000 pages of newspaper data into a digital archive, making it easy for anyone to use. This research is to constitute the early history of the Gazette (1946-1979) through the primary data obtained by using this digital archive. In particular, this study focuses on the evolving history through turbulent times establishing ecumenical identity (1960s), building financial independence (1970s), and fulfilling prophetic missions toward the government and society. This history work considers finding the value and meaning of the Christian newspaper in Korea.
