오늘날 전통의 계승과 보급은 인류 발전 과정에서 하나의 화두이자 주요한 관심사로 대두되고 있다. 경제와 과학의 발전에 따라 경관 역시 많은 변화가 일어났는데, 이러한 세계화 물결의 배경 아래에서 전통문화는 현대화의 전방위적인 도전에 직면하고 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 한국에 조성된 중국 전통정원의 재현 특성을 파악하기 위하여 최초로 조성된 월화원을 대상으로 경관 형용사 분석에 의 한 경관이미지 특성을 도출하고, 경관이미지 특성과 선호도의 관계를 파악하고자 하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 월화원의 경관이미지를 설명하는 인자는 심미성, 개방감, 특이성, 친근성, 전통성 등 총 5개의 인자군으로 공간이미지가 함축되어 분석되었다. 둘째, 전체 선호도 평균값은 4.64로 비교적 높게 나 타났으며, 전통재현경관요소와 자연적 경관요소의 조화를 이루고 있는 경관은 월화원 주요 선호경 관으로 분석되었다. 셋째, 심미성이 월화원 경관이미지의 선호도에 가장 큰 영향력을 미치고 있음을 분석되었다. 따라서 본 연구는 이러한 연구를 종합해 볼 때, 현대 도시공간에 조성된 중국 전통재현정 원의 유지·관리에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. 또한, 도시에 중국 전통정원 조성 시 연구결과를 참고하여 경관계획을 수립 시 기초재료로 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
Today, the inheritance and popularization of tradition is not only a topic in the process of human development, but also the main focus of concern. With the development of economy and technology, a lot of changes have taken place in the landscape. Under the background of this globalization, traditional culture is facing the all-round challenges to modernization. Therefore, the research of this study set Wolhwawon as an object to look into landscape image characteristics and found out the relationships between landscape image characteristics and visual preference in order to grasp the urban landscape characteristics of the Chinese traditional representing space. The results show that, first, there are 5 main factor groups which can explain the landscape image of Wolhwawon namely aesthetics, openness, specificity, friendliness, and tradition. Secondly, the mean of visual preference was 4.64, which is relatively high. Then according to the analysis, the landscape coordinated with the traditional representing landscape elements and the natural landscape elements are the main preference of the Wolhwawon landscape. Thirdly, according to the regression results for Visual preferences and landscape image factor scores, the aesthetics has the greatest influence on the visual preference of Wolhwawon landscape image. Consequently, this study is considered to be able to contribute to the maintenance and management of traditional Chinese gardens built in modern urban spaces. In addition, it is expected that it will be able to provide a basic material when establishing a landscape plan by referring to research results when creating a traditional Chinese garden in a city.
