이 글은 무속신화인 <당곰애기>를 통해서 무속적 질서의식과 삼신의 의 미를 밝히고자 했다. 무속은 오랜 세월 우리 민족과 함께 해온 토속신앙이 다. 그런데 외래종교의 배척을 받으면서 원래의 취지를 잃어갔다. 이에 무속 이 가지고 있는 원래의 취지를 알아보기 위해 <당곰애기>를 대상으로 무 속의 질서의식과 삼신의 의미를 다루었다. 논의방식은 <당곰애기>의 서술 체계를 따랐다. 첫째, 삼신부재로 인한 혼돈의 시공이었다. 혼돈은 인간세계에 삼신이 없어 서였다. 이 부분에서는 궁금함을 해결하기 위한 물음에서 대답으로, 혼돈에서 질서로, 결핍에서 충족으로 가려는 상황이 전개되었다. 둘째, 혼돈과 질서의 충돌에 따른 시련극복이었다. 당곰애기는 처녀가 아기 를 가지고, 가족들로부터 쫓겨나 돌함에 갇히는 시련이 있었다. 이는 죽음(기존 삶)에서 재생(새 삶)으로 가기 위함이었다. 결국 조력자가 나타나 도움을 주어 결핍의 세계에서 충족의 세계로 갈 수 있는 바탕을 마련했다. 일종의 신 병체험과 같다. 셋째, 삼신탄생 질서에 따른 삼신의 의미이다. <당곰애기>에서 아버지가 아들을 인정하는 과정의 시험을 그렸다. 마지막 시험은 채혈응고(採血凝固)의 시험이었다. 그 시험을 통과하자 삼형제와 당곰애기가 모두 신으로 승격을 했 다. 이때 당곰애기는 삼신이 되어 사람 차별하지 않고 가가호호 다니면서 아 이를 점지하고 치병을 했다. 이처럼 진정한 무당은 혼돈을 질서화 하려한다. 삼신의 탄생은 사람사회의 질서를 유지하는데 의미를 두었다.

This tries to reveal shamanistic order and the meaning of Samsin through the story of Danggomaegi. Shamanism has been with Koreans for a long time. But it has lost the original meaning by the infiltration of foreign religions. It deals with the shamanistic order and the meaning of Samsin of Danggomaegi to reveal the original meaning of our shamanism. It follows the description order of Danggomaegi. First, the chaos without Samsin. The chaos was caused by the absence of Samsin in the human world. It flows from question to answer, from chaos to order and from deficiency to sufficiency. Second, the collision of chaos and order to overcome hardness. Danggomaegi went through the hardness in which she was drived out from her family and contained in a stone box because of her baby as a single. It is the way from death to rebirth. A supporter gave her helps to go through the world of deficiency to the world of sufficiency. Third, the meaning of Samsin in the order of the rebirth as Samsin. The story of Danggomaegi describes the approval test of a son. The last test is blood congelation. After the last test, all the three brothers and Danggomaegi were elevated as divinities. Danggomaegi became Samsin, controlled pregnancy and treated illness without discrimination. The real Shaman tries to make the chaos orderly status.
