본 연구의 목적은 문학의 영향을 받은 19세기 표제음악을 현대적으로 접근하여, 대중을 위한 서양음악 콘텐츠 기획의 가능성 및 전망을 제시 하고자 한다. 19세기 표제음악은 문학의 영향을 받은 음악으로써, 특별 히 문학의 '각색'을 통해 전달된 다양한 스토리를 음악으로 표현한 대표 적인 음악적 장르이다. 이를 바탕으로 교향곡, 예술가곡, 춤곡, 오페라 등 다양한 음악적 형식이 발전하였다. 특히, 교향시는 문학을 음악가의 관점으로 새롭게 각색하여, 문학의 스토리를 음악으로 표현하였으며, 이 것은 서양음악을 대중에게 쉽게 전달하는 방법이 되었다. 현대의 트랜스 미디어 스토리텔링도 스토리를 각색하여 다양한 콘텐츠로 이동하며 하나 의 새로운 스토리 세계관을 이룬다. 이러한, 스토리의 각색기법과 트랜스 미디어 스토리텔링 기법을 활용한 표제음악의 콘텐츠 기획을 통해, 대중 이 쉽게 서양음악을 접근 할 수 있다. 따라서, 본 연구는 표제음악을 문 학의 '각색'과 현대의 융합 미디어 기법인 트랜스미디어 스토리텔링으로 접근하여, 현대적 접근의 가능성을 제시하였다. 괴테의 <파우스트(Faust)> 를 스토리 설계, 미디어 선택, 콘텐츠 제작, 상연 그리고 관객과의 상 호작용을 위한 방법 등의 창작 과정을 제시하였으며, 이로 인해, 대중 도 쉽게 서양음악을 접할 수 있는 문화콘텐츠 창작의 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

The purpose of this study is to present the possibilities and prospects of planning western music content for the public through a modern approach to 19th century title music influenced by literature. 19th-century title music is a representative musical genre that is influenced by literature and expresses various stories conveyed through music, especially through literary 'adaptations'. Based on this, various musical forms such as symphonies, art songs, dance songs, and operas developed. In particular, symphonic poetry is a new adaptation of literature from a musician's perspective, expressing the story of literature in music, which became an easy way to deliver Western music to the public. Modern "transmedia storytelling" also adapts stories and moves them to various contents to form a new story worldview. In this way, the public can easily access Western music through the content planning of title music using story adaptation techniques and transmedia storytelling techniques. Therefore, this study approached title music as a literary adaptation and transmedia storytelling, a modern convergence media technique, and presented the possibility of a modern approach. By presenting the creative process of Goethe's "Faust," including story design, media selection, content creation, performance, and methods for interacting with the audience, it is believed that it can be utilized as a resource for creating cultural contents that the public can easily access Western music.
