본 연구는 방상시의 현대적 수용 사례를 분석하는 것에 그 목적이 있 으며, 연구방법은 문헌연구방법을 사용하였다. 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫 째, 영화에서는 장례식을 중심으로 표현되었으며, 영화의 메시지를 전달 하는 매개체로서 방상시를 활용하였다. 둘째, 드라마에서는 원형 재현 및 현대적 재해석을 통해 전통적인 문화유산을 대중들에게 소개하는 기회가 되었다. 셋째, 공연에서는 기록으로만 남아 있는 방상시춤을 발굴하고 현 대적으로 재해석하려고 노력한다는 점에서 높게 평할 수 있다. 넷째, 축 제에서는 행사가 있었으나 방상시의 탈에만 집중되어 방상시의 활용 및 현대적 수용 측면에서 아쉬움을 보였다. 이 연구를 통해 방상시의 역사 와 문화적 배경을 이해하고, 후속연구가 지속되기를 기대한다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze modern examples of t he acceptance of Bangsangsi, and the research method used is l iterature research. The conclusions are as follows. First, in mov ies, it was expressed centered around funerals, and Bangsangsi was used as a medium to convey the message of the movie. Se cond, in dramas, it was an opportunity to introduce traditional cultural heritage to the public through original reproduction an d modern reinterpretation. Third, in the performance, it can be highly evaluated in that it tries to discover and reinterpret the Bangsangsi dance, which only remains as a record. Fourth, ther e were events at the festival, but it was regrettable in terms of utilization and modern acceptance because it focused only on th e mask of Bangsangsi. Through this study, we hope to understa nd the history and cultural background of Bangsangsi, and expe ct follow-up research to continue.
