현대중국어에서 ‘也’는 활용도가 비교적 높은 단어이며, 부사와 접속사로 분류되고 있다. 또한 다른 부사나 접속 표현 등과 결합하여 강조의 관용구로 사용되기도 한다. ‘也’는 학습이 쉬운 단어로 인식되고 있으나, 초중급 단계가 지나면서 단어의 쓰임에 있어서 적지 않은 오류가 발생하는 경향이 있다. 이는 단어에 대한 이해가 충분히 이루어지지 못한 원인이라고 본다. 모든 단어는 생성 기원과 변화 과정을 가지고 있 다. 그러므로 고대중국어 조사 ‘也’가 어떻게 부사로 품사 변화를 하였는지 우선 살 펴볼 필요가 있다. 대체로 학계에서는 빈도 혹은 중복부사로 ‘也’를 분류하고 있지만, 일부 범위부사 혹은 관련부사 등으로도 분류되기도 한다. ‘也’의 하위분류에 대한 의 견이 일치하지 않다는 것을 알 수 있다. 본고에서는 고대에서 현대까지 ‘也’의 변화 과정을 살펴보고, 단어의 쓰임과 의미에 주목하여 ‘也’의 품사적 특성을 이해해보고 자 한다. 이를 통해 부사 ‘也’의 하위분류를 재설정해본다. 이를 통해 ‘也’에 대해 더 욱 심도 있게 이해할 수 있는 계기가 될 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.

In modern Chinese, ‘Ye’(也) is a word that is used in various ways. It is considered both an adverb and a conjunction, and an idiom of emphasis consisting of ‘Ye’ (也) is also often used. The meaning of ‘Ye’(也) corresponds to the Korean particle ‘-도’. Because of this, Korean learners do not experience much difficulty in learning ‘Ye’ (也), but while they accept it easily, errors regarding where the word is used in sentences frequently occur. This is due to a lack of basic understanding of words. Every word has a generative origin and a process of change. It is necessary to first know how the ancient investigation ‘也’ changed its part to adverbs. The adverb ‘Ye’(也) is generally classified as an adverb of frequency in its subcategories, but some opinions are not the same as it is classified as an adverb of range or an adverb of irregularity. This paper examines the syntactic changes in meaning and function of ‘也’ and tries to understand the characteristics of ‘也’ by paying attention to the meaning of words. Through this, the subclassification of the adverb ‘也’ is defined. It is expected that this will serve as an opportunity to understand ‘也’ in more depth.
