OECD/INFE의 2020 성인 금융이해력 조사에 따르면 홍콩이 세계에서 가장 높은 수준의 금융이해력을 보였으며, 2023년 보고서에서도 홍콩은 가장 높은 수준의 금융지식을 보유하 고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 금융이해력과 금융교육의 중요성이 지속적으로 강조되고 있는 현 재 시점에서, 세계에서 가장 높은 수준의 금융이해력을 보유한 홍콩의 학교 금융교육을 살 펴보는 것은 의미가 있을 것이다. 본고에서는 홍콩의 학교 교육과정에서 다루어지고 있는 금융교육의 내용 요소를 살펴보고, 홍콩 금융교육 표준안의 내용 체계를 기준으로 하여 이 를 분석하였다. 이를 통해 우리나라의 금융교육 발전 방향 및 후속 연구에 대한 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

According􀀁 to􀀁 the􀀁 OECD/INFE􀀁 2020􀀁 International􀀁 Survey􀀁 of􀀁 Adult􀀁 Financial􀀁 Literacy,􀀁 Hong􀀁 Kong􀀁 exhibited􀀁 the􀀁 highest􀀁 level􀀁 of􀀁 financial􀀁 literacy􀀁 in􀀁 the􀀁 world,􀀁 and􀀁 the􀀁 2023􀀁 survey􀀁 also􀀁 showed􀀁 that􀀁 Hong􀀁 Kong􀀁 possesses􀀁 the􀀁 highest􀀁 level􀀁 of􀀁 financial􀀁 knowledge.􀀁 In􀀁 a􀀁 time􀀁 when􀀁 the􀀁 importance􀀁 of􀀁 financial􀀁 literacy􀀁 and􀀁 financial􀀁 education􀀁 is􀀁 continuously􀀁 emphasized,􀀁 it􀀁 is􀀁 meaningful􀀁 to􀀁 examine􀀁 the􀀁 financial􀀁 school􀀁 curriculum􀀁 in􀀁 Hong􀀁 Kong,􀀁 which􀀁 has􀀁 the􀀁 highest􀀁 level􀀁 of􀀁 financial􀀁 literacy􀀁 globally.􀀁 This􀀁 study􀀁 explores􀀁 the􀀁 content􀀁 elements􀀁 of􀀁 financial􀀁 education􀀁 covered􀀁 in􀀁 Hong􀀁 Kong’s􀀁 school􀀁 curriculum􀀁 and􀀁 analyzes􀀁 them􀀁 based􀀁 on􀀁 the􀀁 content􀀁 framework􀀁 of􀀁 the􀀁 Hong􀀁 Kong􀀁 Financial􀀁 Competency􀀁 Framework(IFEC).􀀁 Through􀀁 this,􀀁 the􀀁 study􀀁 aims􀀁 to􀀁 provide􀀁 insights􀀁 for􀀁 the􀀁 development􀀁 of􀀁 financial􀀁 education􀀁 in􀀁 Korea􀀁 and􀀁 suggestions􀀁 for􀀁 future􀀁 research.
