본 연구의 목적은 문화연구와 장애학의 융복합적 관점에서 the Good Doctor 의 자폐스펙트럼장애(ASD) 재현이 갖는 의미를 종합적이면서 심 도 있게 분석하고 비판적으로 평가하여, 사회적 장애 인식에 중요한 영 향을 미치는 드라마 속 ASD 재현의 실질적 과제를 모색하는 데 있다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 텍스트 분석 결과 생애주기에 따른 ASD 주인공의 동반 성장 서사를 통해 완전 통합 사회를 구현하였고 다양한 ASD 인물 에피소드를 통해 ASD의 현실 담론을 반영하고 변화 된 ASD 담론을 이끌고 있다. 둘째, 제작과정 분석 결과 생산자인 제작 진은 수용자인 ASD 단체뿐 아니라 다양한 관계자와 소통하며 장애인 당사자 배우 참여 등 발전된 ASD 재현을 보였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 드라마 속 ASD의 바람직한 재현을 위해 장애 당사자와 다양한 이해관계자의 제작 참여 확대, 시리즈물 제작, ASD의 다양성 재현, 실 질적인 가이드라인 개정, 사회적 장애 인식 개선 교육 확대, 장애인 제 작자 및 배우를 위한 기관이나 프로그램 육성, 드라마에 대한 다각적 심의와 장애 담론의 확산 등이 이루어져야 한다.

The study aimed to analyze and critically evaluate the representation of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the Good Doctor , through an interdisciplinary approach combining cultural studies and disability studies, while also proposing practical strategies for the representation of ASD in dramas that significantly influence societal perceptions of disability. The results of the study were as follows. Firstly, the narrative promoted an inclusive society through the ASD protagonist's co-development journey across life stages and the depiction of diverse ASD characters, reflecting and contributing to the evolving discourses on ASD. Secondly, the production process demonstrated progress in ASD representation by involving ASD actors and engaging with various stakeholders, including ASD organizations. Based on this study, we recommend several strategies to improve ASD portrayals in dramas. These include: Increasing ASD individual involvement in production, Developing series-based productions, representing the diversity of ASD, revising relevant guidelines, expanding disability awareness education, supporting organizations for disabled producers and actors, Implementing multi-faceted deliberation regarding dramas, and the dissemination of disability discourses.
