본 연구는 서울 뚝섬과 과천 서울경마장의 경주로 내부에 만들어졌던 마사회 골프장의 건설과 운영 그리고 폐장에 대해 고증하고자 문헌연구를 실시한 결과, 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 뚝섬 서울경마 장 마사회 골프장은 박정희 대통령의 권유에 따라 1969년 6월 30일 경마장 주로 안에 3개의 골프코스와 연습장을 갖추고 덕마골프구락부라는 이름으로 개장하였다. 그 후 1970년 4월에 6홀로 증설하였고, 1971 년 6월에는 9홀 규모로 증설하며 덕마골프장으로 이름을 바꾸었다. 그리고 1972년 10월 9일 한국마사회가 덕마흥업주식회사를 인수하며 다시 마사회 골프장으로 이름을 바꾸었다. 1988년 제24회 하계올림픽 개최 후, 뚝섬 서울경마장이 과천으로 이전을 추진하며 골프장도 1989년 7월 3일 9홀로 이전하여 개장하였다. 그러나 경마장에 골프장이 있다는 것이 어울리지 않는다는 결정에 따라, 1993년 연말을 마지막으로 골프장 을 폐장시키고, 그 부지를 시민 놀이공간으로 조성하여 일반에게 공개하였다. 향후 연구에서는 뚝섬 마사 회 골프장이 서울시에 인수되어 만들어진 뚝섬 체육공원 골프장에 관한 연구가 이루어진다면 한국골프사 연구에 또 하나의 새로운 고증이 될 수 있을 것이다.

This study aimed to investigate the construction, operation, and closure of the Masahui Golf Course built within the racetracks of Seoul Ttukseom and Gwacheon Seoul Racecourse. As a result of conducting a literature review, the following conclusions were reached. The Masahui Golf Course at Ttukseom Seoul Racecourse was opened on June 30, 1969, under the recommendation of President Park Jung-hee, with three golf courses and a practice range inside the racecourse and under the name of Deokma Golf Club. After that, in April 1970, it was expanded to 6 holes, and in June 1971, it was expanded to 9 holes and renamed Deokma Golf Course. Then, on October 9, 1972, the Korea Racing Authority acquired Deokma Heungup Co., Ltd. and changed its name again to Masahui Golf Course. After the 24th Summer Olympics were held in 1988, the Ttukseom Seoul Racecourse was pushed to relocate to Gwacheon, and the golf course was also moved to 9 holes and opened on July 3, 1989. However, following the decision that it was inappropriate to have a golf course at a racecourse, the golf course was closed at the end of 1993, and the site was developed into a public playground and opened to the public. If future research is conducted on the Ttukseom Sports Park Golf Course, which was created when the Ttukseom Masahui Golf Course was acquired by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, it could provide another new source of evidence for the study of Korean golf history.
