본 연구는 미처리된 공장폐수가 상시 유입되고 있는 하수처리장에 대하여 BOD와 TOC의 상관관계 및 BOD/TOC 비를 분석하여 하수처리 특성을 파악하고자 하였다. 유입수의 BOD/TOC 비는 평균 1.42 정도로서 BOD와 TOC의 결정계수(R2)가 0.8111로 비교적 높았지만 공장폐수의 유입으로 BOD와 TOC간의 상관성이 일반 하수에 비하여 조금 낮게 나타났다. 또한 최초침전지를 거친 생물반응조 유입수의 BOD/TOC 비는 유입수와 큰 차이가 없었지만 방류수의 BOD/TOC 비는 평균 0.41~0.73 정도로 생물반응조에서 생분해성 유기물이 제거됨에 따라 BOD/TOC 비와 BOD와 TOC의 상관관계가 급격히 감소하였다.
In this study, characteristics of sewage treatment constantly mixed with untreated industrial wastewater is examined by analyzing the relationship between BOD and TOC, as well as the BOD/TOC ratio. The BOD/TOC ratio of the influent was approximately 1.42 on average, and the coefficient of determination(R2) between BOD and TOC was relatively high at 0.8111. However, due to the influx of untreated industrial wastewater, the relationship between BOD and TOC was slightly lower than that of general sewage. In addition, the BOD/TOC ratio of the influent of the bioreactor was not much different from that of the influent, but the BOD/TOC ratio of the effluent was 0.41 to 0.73 on average, and as biodegradable organic matter was removed in the bioreactor, the BOD/TOC ratio and the relationship between BOD and TOC decreased rapidly.
