본 연구는 청소년기 자녀를 둔 취업모의 돌봄 현실을 파악하기 위해 일-가족 갈등과 일-양육 갈등이 양육스트레스에 미치는 영향을 실증적으 로 분석하였다. 이를 위해 한국아동패널연구(PSKC) 제16차 조사(2023년) 자료를 활용하여 취업모 837명을 연구 대상으로 위계적 회귀분석을 실시 하였다. 분석 결과, 일-가족 갈등은 양육스트레스에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않았고, 일-양육 갈등은 양육스트레스를 높이는 요인으로 확인되었다. 또한 근로 시간과 소득 등의 객관적 변수는 유의한 관련성 이 없었으나 모(母)의 주관적 건강 상태는 유의미한 관련성을 나타냈다. 즉 취업모가 경험하는 양육스트레스가 시간적·경제적 조건보다는 양육에 서의 관계적 긴장 경험과 밀접하게 연결되어 있음을 시사한다. 따라서 청소년기에 대한 돌봄도 유아기와 학령기의 돌봄과 마찬가지로 질적인 측면의 지원 확대가 요구된다. 본 연구는 청소년기 돌봄의 특성이 현행 제도에서 포착되지 못하고 있음을 문제로 제기하며, 이를 보완하기 위한 정책적이고 실천적 함의를 제시하였다.

This study empirically analyzed the impact of work-family conflict and work-parenting conflict on parenting stress in order to understand the caregiving realities of employed mothers with adolescent children. For this purpose, data from the 16th wave (2023) of the Panel Study on Korean Children (PSKC) were used, and a hierarchical regression analysis was conducted on 837 employed mothers. The results showed that work-family conflict did not have a statistically significant effect on parenting stress, while work-parenting conflict was identified as a key factor that increases parenting stress. In addition, objective variables such as working hours and income were not significantly related, whereas mothers' subjective health status showed a significant association. This suggests that the parenting stress experienced by employed mothers is closely linked to relational tension in parenting rather than temporal or economic conditions. Therefore, qualitative support for adolescent caregiving, similar to that provided for early school-age children, is necessary. This study raises the issue that the characteristics of caregiving during adolescence are not adequately captured in the current system and provides policy and practical implications to address this gap.
