본 연구는 중남미에서 한류의 영향력이 큰 콜롬비아를 대상으로 한국 어교육의 실태를 다각도로 진단하고, 지속 가능한 발전을 위한 정책적 대안을 모색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 콜롬비아 내 대학 기관, 세 종학당 등 주요 한국어 교육 기관의 현황을 조사하였으며, 학습자와 교 수자를 대상으로 한 설문을 통해 현장의 요구를 실증적으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 콜롬비아 한국어교육은 K-Pop 등 한류 콘텐츠를 통한 자발 적 수요가 폭발적임에도 불구하고 몇몇 한계가 드러났다. 교육과정이 초 급 단계에 편중되어 있어 중급 이상 학습자의 학습 단절이 심화되고 있 다. 또한, 교수 인력이 불안정하여 교육의 연속성과 안정성이 취약하며 기관 간 네트워크의 부재로 인해 교육 자원 공유 및 협업이 어려운 폐쇄 적 구조를 띠고 있다. 이러한 진단을 바탕으로 본 연구는 학습자의 숙달 도를 고려한 고도화된 교육과정, 한국문화 학습 및 교류 인프라의 활성 화, 전문 교수 인력 파견 확대 및 현지인 교원 양성 트랙을 마련할 것을 제안한다. 본 연구의 제언은 콜롬비아가 중남미 지역에서 한국어 확산의 핵심 거점으로 도약하기 위한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

This study aims to understand the current state of Korean language education in Colombia, a country with a significant Korean Wave influence in Latin America, and to explore policy alternatives. To achieve this, we surveyed major educational institutions in Colombia and conducted a survey of learners and instructors to analyze their needs. The analysis revealed several limitations to Korean language education in Colombia, despite the explosive growth in demand driven by Korean Wave content such as K-Pop. The curriculum is overly focused on the beginner level, widening the learning gap between intermediate and advanced learners and lacking continuity and stability in education. This study proposed an advanced curriculum that takes into account learners' proficiency levels, revitalizing infrastructure for learning and exchange of Korean culture. The recommendations of this study can serve as a foundation for Colombia to become a key hub for the spread of Korean language in Latin America.
