The purpose of this study is to develop a Korean Digital Well-Being Scale that reflects the sociocultural context of contemporary Korean society, in which digital environments have become deeply embedded in everyday life. A survey was conducted with 253 university students, and the sample was divided into a development sample (N=126) and a validation sample (N=127). Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were performed, resulting in the finalization of 18 items. The K-DWS-18 comprises three factors: digital practices (5 items), digital benefits and harms (7 items), and subjective well-being (6 items), yielding a total of 18 items. The internal consistency of each factor was high, with Cronbach’s α coefficients exceeding .70. The model demonstrated an acceptable level of construct validity, with goodness-of-fit indices of TLI = 0.926, CFI = 0.936, and RMSEA = 0.049. In addition, correlation analyses of the three-factor structure confirmed significant inter-factor correlations, further supporting the validity of the scale. These findings suggest that the K-DWS is a reliable and valid instrument for assessing digital well-being within the Korean sociocultural context.
