This study developed a three-dimensional structural analysis model of the middle gate of eastern-western precincts at the Mireuksa temple site and evaluated its structural performance using Midas Gen. Safety was assessed based on stress ratios under critical load combinations, while serviceability was assessed based on deflection and lateral displacement. The maximum axial and combined stress ratios of the columns were 0.097 and 0.261, respectively, thus indicating adequate safety margins. However, the lower Majbo (a transverse tie beam) and rafters exceeded the allowable stress limits by 95.3% and 121.8%, respectively, and the deflection limits by 23.9% and 70.4%, respectively. The X-direction seismic drift exceeded the allowable limit by 19.5%. These results indicate that some members require redesign and strengthening, thus highlighting the necessity to verify historical dimensions against structural performance in restoration design.
