본 연구는 4년제 대학의 뷰티디자인전공능력 진단도구를 개발에 그 목적이 있으며, 4년 제 대학의 뷰티 관련 학과에서 활용하고 있는 전공능력 진단도구 5개 대학의 사례와 국가 직무능력표준(NCS)의 미용 분야 직무능력 요소를 분석하여 예비문항을 도출하였고, 뷰티교 육 전문가 4인의 내용타당도(Content Validity)를 검증하여 메이크업디자인능력, 네일관리기 술능력, 피부관리기술능력, 헤어스타일링능력, 패션분석 및 관리능력의 최종 측정 문항을 사 용하였다. 조사방법으로는 Y예술대학교 뷰티디자인전공 학생을 대상으로 조사되었다. 수집 된 자료는 SPSS 29.0 프로그램을 활용하여 빈도분석, 요인분석, 신뢰도분석, 상관관계분석 및 다중회귀분석을 수행하였다.연구결과 메이크업디자인능력, 네일관리기술능력, 피부관리기 술능력, 헤어스타일링능력 및 패션분석 및 관리능력은 서로 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 헤어스타일링능력은 다른 전공능력에 대한 영향력이 가장 높게 나 타나 뷰티디자인 전공교육의 핵심역량으로 작용하는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한 피부관리기 술능력과 헤어스타일링능력, 메이크업디자인능력 간 높은 관련성이 확인되어 뷰티분야 전 공능력이 상호 독립적인 관계가 아니라 유기적으로 연결된 역량체계임을 보여주었다. 이러 한 결과는 뷰티디자인 전공 교육과정이 특정 분야 중심의 분절적 교육이 아니라 메이크업, 네일, 피부, 헤어, 패션을 연계한 통합형 교육과정으로 운영될 필요가 있음을 시사한다. 본 연구는 뷰티디자인 전공능력 진단도구를 개발하고 전공능력 간 영향관계를 실증적으로 확 인하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

This study aims to develop a competency diagnostic tool for a Beauty Design major in a four-year university. It derived preliminary items by analyzing cases of competency diagnostic tools used in beauty-related departments in five universities and the job competency elements in the beauty field of the National Competency Standards (NCS), and verified the content validity with four beauty education experts to finalize the measurement items in makeup design ability, nail care skill ability, skincare skill ability, hair styling ability, and fashion analysis and management ability. The survey was conducted with students majoring in Beauty Design at Y Arts University. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 29.0 program through frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that makeup design ability, nail care skill ability, skincare skill ability, hair styling ability, and fashion analysis and management ability had a significant positive (+) influence on each other. In particular, hair styling ability had the highest influence on other major competencies, confirming it as a core competency of the Beauty Design major education. Moreover, a strong correlation was found among skincare skill ability, hair styling ability, and makeup design ability, demonstrating that the major competencies in the beauty field are not independent but are organically connected as a competency system. These results suggest that the Beauty Design major curriculum needs to be operated as an integrated curriculum linking makeup, nails, skincare, hair, and fashion, rather than as segmented education centered on specific areas. This study is significant in that it developed a competency diagnostic tool for the Beauty Design major and empirically verified the influence relationships among major competencies.
