This study examined how event involvement and social face consciousness influence perceived price burden, consumer adjustment behavior, and purchase intention for fresh cut flowers during the Korean graduation and admission season. Data were collected from 336 Korean adults aged 20-59 through structured online and paper-based surveys and analyzed using structural equation modeling with SPSS 29.0 and AMOS 29.0. The measurement model showed acceptable fit and validity. Event involvement and social face did not significantly affect perceived price burden, but both directly increased purchase intention. Perceived price burden did not directly reduce purchase intention; rather, it increased consumer adjustment behavior ( = .58, p < .001), which subsequently reduced purchase intention ( = -.31, p < .001), indicating full mediation in the pooled sample. Multi-group analysis supported measurement invariance between the 2030 and 4050 generations, and constraining all seven structural paths did not significantly worsen model fit (Δ 2 = 13.097, Δdf = 7, p = .070). A path-specific constraint test suggested one exploratory difference: the direct path from price burden to purchase intention was nonsignificant in the 2030 generation but positive in the 4050 generation (B = .262, p = .023), suggesting a suppression effect. These findings indicate that floriculture distribution should adopt product strategies that mitigate seasonal price resistance before it translates into consumer adjustment behavior.
