Resident-Based Identification of Households in Crisis and Public–Private Collaboration for Solitary Death Prevention: A Literature Review
This study aims to examine resident-based identification of households in crisis and public–private collaboration for solitary death prevention. Academic literature and official policy documents will be reviewed to explore how residents’ observations and referrals lead to professional outreach, needs assessment, and service provision. The analysis will focus on resident participation, identification and referral procedures, the division of responsibilities between public and private organizations, and continuity of support. Program activities and empirically demonstrated outcomes will be distinguished, and participation or referral counts will not be interpreted as direct evidence of effectiveness in preventing solitary death. This study seeks to inform community-based social work practice by identifying operational conditions that connect residents’ identification activities with coordinated professional support.
