Social Isolation among Community-Dwelling Persons with Disabilities and Access to Welfare Services for Solitary Death Prevention: A Literature Review
This study aims to examine social isolation and access to welfare services among community-dwelling persons with disabilities and to explore support priorities for solitary death prevention. Academic literature and official policy documents will be reviewed, focusing on social relationships and participation, access to information and communication, consultation and application procedures, and continuity of support. Differences in disabilTity type and living conditions will be considered, and reductions in social isolation or loneliness will not be interpreted as direct evidence of effectiveness in preventing solitary death. The review seeks to inform social work practice that strengthens social connections and service accessibility while respecting individual self-determination.
