본 연구는 가거도, 소화도 및 독도해역에 대한 2009년 8월의 조하대 암반조사를 통해서 해양생태계의 중요 구성생물 중의 하나인 대형무척추동물의 생물다양성, 생물량 및 군집구조를 파악하고, 이를 기초로 도서생물지리설(The Theory of Island Biogeography)의 관점에서 3개섬에 서식하는 대형무척추동물의 유사성 정도를 검증하였다. 연구해역에서 출현한 대형무척추동물은 총 104종, 7,176개체(399 inds. m-2)와 27
